Phone Call
Hi guys, its been awhile since I posted a fanfic by myself. I actually wasn't going to post this one but my friend was telling me I should, thank you Bridget. Seriously go check out some of her stories, they're really good and my other friend Jenaya's. Bridgeeey and Ninja_Neko94.
Anyway Enjoy
Disclaimer: If I owned Gravitation I wouldn't need to write fanfics now would I?
Rolling over Yuki Eiri tired to get more comfortable. The clock beside the bed reading 2:30 am. Great he thought another late one. It wasn't really the time that bothered the writer, more so the empty space beside him. Shindo Shuichi, the pink haired popstar, had gone out with the other members of Bad Luck. Now at 2:30 he still wasn't home.
It's not that Yuki was worried about Shuichi, it was just irritating for the author that Shuichi would chose the band over him. Reaching over he grabbed the ever present box of cigarettes. Lighting one he got out of bed, wandering into the lounge incase the 'little brat' was there. Nothing.
No Yuki wasn't worried. Shuichi was a big boy…….but what if………NO! He. Was. Not. Worried. What did he care if the little brat never came home?
3 am past, along with 4 am. At 4:15 Yuki began to pace. Something must have happened, Shuichi would have at least called. Maybe he was at his friends, that guitar guy……whatshisname. Nakano Hiroshi. He'd call in the morning, well later. Right now the author just wanted to go back to bed. It wasn't that he was worried, Shuichi could take care of himself.
Just then the phone rang. Yuki lit what was probably his 20th cigarette and answered.
Trying to make his voice sound grumpy, just incase the brat had finally called and Yuki didn't want him to know he had been worried he spat into the receiver "Hello?"
A frantic voice answered him back, "Yuki-san, did I wake you?" Disappointment ran through Yuki, it was Hiroshi. Though something was off. Why was Hiro calling him and why did he sound as if something bad happened?
"What do you want?"
"It's Shu, he was hit by a car. Yuki-san he's………dead."
Complete silence followed. Shuichi dead? No it couldn't be. That little pink fluff ball was indestructible. Nothing could stop him.
"Yuki-san?" Hiro's voice brought Yuki crashing back to reality.
"Where is he?"
"Yuki-san………"
"Where?!" Hiro gave him the name of the hospital but told him it was pointless, he wouldn't get into the room. Yuki didn't care. After that phone call nothing mattered.
When he got to the hospital he was greeted by staff. Apparently from Yuki gathered, Shuichi's last words were of him. Due to this the doctors let him straight into the room.
Shuichi laid on the bed, cuts and bruises covering every visible inch of his body. The machines had been turned off and the room was silent. Starring at him Yuki kept waiting for the ear splitting sound of his name and the mega glomp which never came and never would again.
Making his way to the side of the bed, Yuki got down on his knees. Shuichi looked so peaceful, lying there. How could someone so innocent be taken away?
Leaning over Yuki placed a kiss on the once warm lips, whispered "I love you" got up and left.
No, Yuki still wasn't worried. Shuichi no longer had to listen to the writers sarcasm, no longer had to worry if Yuki was okay. Shuichi was in a better place. Yuki wasn't worried.
In the waiting room Hiro was talking to Fujisaki. Both men looked up as Yuki passed. Yuki nodded and said "Thanks for the phone call." Leaving the hospital, not even bothering trying to hid tears, Yuki pondered. A phone call really could change it all.
A/N: Well there you go guys. This ones for you Bridget. Let me know what you think, I could use the fee back. Tell me it's crap if you want. Just don't flame me too harshly.
See ya.
