Author's Note CHRISTMAS! Yay! So, as planned, my Christmas one shots! Enjoy.
Quiet… Too quiet… Pepper thought to herself, as she looked around the room. Christmas Eve, and no shouting, cheering, or broken ornaments? Something's up.
"Merry Christmas Eve!" Six voices shouted in unison. Pepper jumped from her spot on the couch, startled at the sudden outburst.
"What the heck?" Pepper asked. Steve, Clint, and Bruce looked down apologetically, while Tony smirked, wearing a Santa Clause hat.
"Well, it is Christmas Eve, and you should be merry." Pepper glared. Natasha rolled her eyes, speaking up.
"I've convinced them to give you, Coulson and Fury the best present ever: peace." She explained. "Meaning, no explosions, no fights, hopefully no one tries to take over the world."
Pepper smiled at the group, looking happy. "Thank you Tasha!" She jumped up, pulling Tony into a hug.
-Next Morning—
The Avengers were gathered around the living room, each with their own friends and families. It was a wonderful sight to see really, all of the calm heroes in one room, relaxing, watching the snow fall in New York City.
Tony sat with Pepper in his arms, and Bruce had Betty next to him on the couch. Clint and Natasha were sat on the loveseat, with Darcy and Steve on the sofa adjacent to them, while Thor and Jane sat on the ground with Loki and Jamie near.
Pepper sighed. "I hate my present." Everyone looked at her, clearly confused.
"Why?" Darcy asked, her head tilted slightly.
"It's not normal. You guys are supposed to be loud, and happy, and obnoxious, not eerily quiet!" She said exasperated, hands up in emphasis.
Jamie drew her knees up to her chest. "Ditto. It's just creepy; I'm already paranoid enough."
"Sir, there appears to be a large mass of festively dressed people at the door. Should I let them in?" JARVIS asked.
"What do you say guys, would it be loud enough for you?" Tony asked smirking.
A/N: So yeah, off my unofficial hiatus, because I have 5 more Christmas one shots to type, plus several fanfics for my friends. This is going to be a long night…
