Cherishing From a Distance

She's seen more fist fights and brawls on the fields of Fox River Prison then she saw when in high school. Sara worked on inmates who had bruised arms and legs and it seemed like their egos were bruised more. Sara worked on their wounds and tried to talk them out of the pointless brawls that put them in the infirmary.

Finally, taking about from all the work, Sara took a seat and stared out the window. Too much going on, so much to see, but one inmate always seemed to catch her attention. Why did she have these strong feelings for someone she barely knew?

" He keeps to himself," Sara thought, " Yet others want to intimidate him."

Sara got up and closer to the window another brawl. It looks like she had more work to do. The infirmary was full, but it looked serious enough to add another.

" This is what I do," Sara said, " Take care of the sick and wounded even if they are in prison."

Sara went to the far window, not knowing who it was until the guards moved, it was Michael. She stopped a moment before pressing on.

Michael watched from the distance as she came forward. Sara was beautiful, smart, and seemed to hide her fear, but still did her job and was gentle and patient. Oh, how he cherished her dedication and work. Who was he kidding he cherished her period. Sara just looked at him when she was finished and the guards took him away.

Outside Michael just looked at the office window, cherishing her from afar was all he could do. Not the right place or time to do anything else, but soon maybe that will change.

Okay this might not make sense, but I wanted to try my own Michael/Sara story. Sorry if it's too short.
