All is quiet as the lone ODST stands on the mounten top.
He stands over looking the the city of Newport, destroyed and in ruins.
He removes his helmet and holds it under his arm as he looks at a phantom that passes over head.
He wipes the sweat from his brow and puts his helmet back on, he unholsters his M7S and heads down the
mounten as another phantom passes over. He arrives just outside the Covenant controlled city after an hour of
walking down the mounten. As he walk through the quiet streets, he notices a crashed D79H-TC gunship and walks over to inspect it. The crew appears to have been killed in the crash, he looks up from the wreck.
He sees a lone Grunt walking on the sidewalk towards the crash, not seeing the ODST the Grunt continues towards him, not knowing hes there. The ODST slowly walks backwards away from the crash, he readys his M7S,
the Grunt looks up, only to take three shots to the chest and two in the face.
The Grunt falls to the ground in a bloody heap, the ODST slowly walks over to the dead Grunt,
looking around for any more, not seeing anything, he cautiously continues forward.
He reaches the street corner, he sees nothing out of the ordinary, he hears footsteps from behind and looks
to see what is was. He sees a large figure form from nothing, he fires his weapon only to be knocked
down by the thing, it activats an energy sword, it looks down at the ODST,
he looks up at the figure and pulled out his combat knife, closed his eyes and went to stab the figure...
