Chapter 1: The Return

It has been two months since the end of the war of Romagna.

Miyafuji and Sakamoto are back in Fuso, Perrine and Lynette have returned yet again to Gallia to aid in the reconstruction, Shirley and Lucchini back in Africa again, Sanya and Eila returned to the Suomus Airbase while the Karlslanders – Minna, Hartmann and Barkhorn also returned to their homelands to aid in the surveillance of Karlsland against the neurois.

Shortly after Miyafuji's and Sakamoto's return to Fuso, Miyafuji was promoted to the rank of First Lieutenant and presented the Fuso Imperial Medal by the Lieutenant Colonel (the captain of Akagi and Yamato) with her family and friends present at the award ceremony. Sakamoto was also promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. They were recognized for their efforts in liberating both Gallia and Romagna of the neuroi hive.

As Miyafuji and Sakamoto has both lost their magical powers, Miyafuji decided to continue her studies with Michiko at a local high school while Sakamoto is also coincidentally teaching there as a fitness instructor.

Miyafuji was sitting in the classroom, staring out into the sky, daydreaming about her stint in Europe. She misses Lynette deeply and wishes that Lynne-chan is with her right there at the moment in her most hated class – Physics.

Something caught her eye.
"No, it couldn't be. The neuroi couldn't be here in Fuso" Miyafuji thought to herself. "I've gotta let Sakamoto-san know!"
She stood up and said to the teacher:"I'm sorry, but I got to go. It's urgent". She then ran out of the class heading for the field where she knows Sakamoto-san will be there.

"Sakamoto-san, the Neuroi!" She shouted out to Sakamoto who was making a bunch of boys do pushups.
"What neuroi? Don't joke with me about such matters Miyafuji"
"It's true! I saw it with my own eyes. Look" Miyafuji said as she pointed to the skies.
She saw a giant infantry type neuroi in the sky.
"Impossible! We have to inform the Fuso army witches"
"I'll have to let my family know!" replied Miyafuji

Miyafuji and Sakamoto went separate ways. Miyafuji running in the direction of her house while Sakamoto in the direction of the army base. When Miyafuji reached her house, she looked up and was horrified to see a neuroi hive brewing just above her. Without hesitation, she ran into the house and told her mother and grandmother to go to safer grounds. Just then, the first beam hit her house. She ran out and at that moment, the second beam was going to hit her when a shield was displayed above her.

It was Junko Takei, Sakamoto's teacher who is back in Fuso to train recruits.
She said to Miyafuji:"Bring your family to the army base, Sakamoto will be there too. I'll keep your back!"
Miyafuji, with her mother and grandmother, left for the base.

When Sakamoto saw them, she was relieved that they have safely arrived. There were also neuroi pieces in the air. "The neuroi has been destroyed" she thought to herself as she heaved a sigh of relief.
She then said:"We are lucky that the 504th squad is here. If the army were to engage the neuroi with so few witches, the mission would bound to fail"

Takei seeing that the neuroi has been destroyed said to her witches:"Mission complete. Head back to the base now."
"Roger" replied the witches.

*I'm sorry for my punctuation and dialogue formats but i haven't wrote a narrative for a very long time so i'm a little rusty with it. I usually write expositions but decided to write this because I really like Strike Witches. Some chapters may be OOC. Stay tuned for the next chapter
