Disclaimer: The Harry Potter fictional universe belongs solely to J.K. Rowling and her various associates. There are some nights I dream of being JKR, owning several companies, being a multi-millionaire, but most importantly having the rights of the world of Harry Potter. This dream doesn't become true, and sadly never will. * imaginary tear drops *
A/N: This is officially my first story on this account, I haven't planned the entire story yet however I can bet it will exceed at least a hundred thousand words. The pairing isn't one that is smooth and 100% perfect, nor will there be just one pairing and a happily ever after, this is a realistic story with real-life situations. There will be some exerts taken directly from the seven different books so bear with me and don't blame me for copyright
Content: There will be several instances where gore, torture and abuse will be present, caution to younger audiences and those affected.
Chapter One
oOo
Peverell. One name, one family, that could strike fear and anguish in a commoner's heart. The name Peverell is just what a person born into the bloodline decided to call it. The bloodline and the family magic of The House of Peverell is positively ancient. The name, the true name of the family cannot be understood for the language is too ancient and difficult to understand. In the magical world, there are several public and private libraries, the most common being private family libraries belonging to different Houses. The greatest library of all is the Library of Alexandria, home to knowledge lost to the Egyptian Pharaohs of Ancient Magical Egypt. However, families which are old and wealthy will share their secrets, their beliefs on what truly is the greatest source of knowledge in the world. While it is commonly known that the Library of Alexandria is the oldest public library, The Lost Library of the Kings, the true birthplace of the darkest and most evil magic on the planet, is the true birthplace of knowledge. Dark magic, necromancy, summoning, resurrection, rituals, you have it all.
Most would say that something that is labelled as 'dark', is magic that has harmful intent. Most would say that 'dark' magic corrupts your very being and leaves but a glimpse of your true soul. Most would say that no one should practice any form of 'dark' magic. They are all wrong. The first instances of true dark magic were simple curses that would cut, slice, or butcher. Of course, dark magic is a very vague term. What can be used to destroy, can be used to heal. What can be used to control, can be used to free. The problem with the magical world is that most do not know the true definition of 'dark' magic. For dark magic is magic and all magic should be practiced, no matter the consequence. That was the saying in House Peverell.
The Lost Library of the Kings, the resource of knowledge for Ancient Roman Emperors, Magical Pharaohs, Indian Maharajahs, it was the epitome of wealth, pride, and knowledge. The Noble and Most Ancient House of Peverell knows the very place of the Lost Library for it is their personal and family library. Being a Peverell meant being strong, being a Peverell meant being undefeated, unconquerable. Being a Peverell was to be truly immortal in your legacy. The Tale of The Three Brothers is one of many ancient tales that truly define the fame and pride of the Peverells. However, that is now all gone. The Peverell name is extinct, the last daughter being married to a new and upcoming business family, House Potter.
However, most do not know what caused the extinction of the great Peverells, for there was no famine, there was no feud, everything was as peaceful as could be. Kendra Luthgerd, a woman and a Natural Seer belonging to a long bloodline full of magically powerful witches and wizards, depicted of a war. A war that would seek to utterly destroy the House of Peverell and the entire magical world. Seven Dark Mages would band together to utterly destroy the reputation of the Peverells and seek to hoard all their wealth and knowledge. This was the prophecy spoken a mere six months before the fall of the Peverells. However, if the three brothers that were sired from the Lord of the House were to join together and create an object each that would truly define what they believe is their soul, the legacy of the Peverells shall be spared.
No one alive truly knows who or what controls the universe, while most would agree that Mother Magic is truly was created all magical creatures and beings on the planet, others would say that Mother Magic is not solely responsible. The Peverells knew this for they were the most knowledge, most wealthy, and the greatest family in the world. There are three beings, three deities you could say, that controlled the universe. Mother Magic, the being that grew Magic and helped it truly develop. Death, the being that welcomed souls into the underworld and beyond. And finally, Fate, the being the made sure that the universe does not destroy itself, that the carries of magic do not let their emotions and ambitions absolutely wreak havoc.
Seers are those chosen, those beings that are responsible are honorable, they would not use the knowledge of the future to their own advantage. During the 13th century, Fate knew that there would a shadow of darkness for the rest of eternity if the Seven Dark Mages weren't defeated. She knew that no one witch or wizard would be truly able to defeat the Seven Dark Mages. The only actual thing that would be able to stop them, conquer them, would be the Peverells.
After six months of holy war, where the great and powerful Peverells went from the hundreds to a mere three, there was chaos. The Magical World truly felt fear and terror, and no one was truly safe.
The First Brother, Antioch Peverell, World Duelling Master, Master of Dark Magic, Master of Combat Magic, and Master of Blood Magic. The Elder Wand, named after the Eldest Son of Lord Peverell, was an object truly magnificent. Made from the blood of his enemies, combined with the blood of his ancestors and himself, made from human flesh and bones, and the oldest and most magically powerful tree in all of Europe. Whoever wields the wand will only grow stronger, and when they are conquered themselves, the blood of the victim is taken and their knowledge of battle, their prowess of combat, and their fearlessness and ruthlessness at the taking of blood is all absorbed. The Wand, The Elder Wand, is a truly deadly and dangerous object, yet it is the greatest invention of The Elder.
The Second Brother, Cadmus Peverell, Master of Necromancy, Master of Blood Magic, Master of Illusionary Magic, and Master of Ritualistic Magic. The Resurrection Stone, named after the souls and spirits that can be summoned from the world beyond, was an object that was truly horrifying yet spectacular and had an aura that drew you in. Made from the sacrifice of love, flesh and emotion as well as the taint that it causes on your soul to defy Death. Whoever wields will wish to control it, to achieve something that only Death can gift. Overtime, madness is what is caused, one cannot truly be apart from their own dreams that they forget to live. The Stone will only accept one that can be at peace, one that will not summon souls for their own advantage but to help the world. If one cannot accept, they cannot be at peace, their soul will be ravished and consumed until The Resurrection Stone waits for it's next victim.
The Third Brother, Ignotus Peverell, Master of Illusionary Magic, Master of Sacrificial Magic, Master of Enchanting, and Mercenary. The Invisibility Cloak, named after it's ability to defy any and all, even Death, it could hide, it could find, it could kill, and it could heal. Made from thousands of different ancient magical languages and millions of different runes and drawings, it is truly a legend. With the sacrifice of what matters most, the Third Brother thought he was clever, to be able to escape Death but what he didn't know was that no one truly conquered Death. The Invisibility Cloak will hide any who seeks to, but any who is not of the Peverell blood will be consumed and conquered right before it. The Invisibility Cloak will consume and utterly destroy those which the wearer wishes to, even if it may seem as an ordinary Cloak.
These three items, the greatest creation of all three sons of the Lord, were magnificent. No one could understand, no one could create them, and no one could wield them. However, these magical items were not for show, they were for war. The Seven Dark Mages had all bus decimated the once great family, leaving the three brothers drowned in their sorrow and anger at their enemies. The Three went to war with The Seven. The First Brother went down after taking two of their, being the strong warrior and fighter he was, would not go down without taking some soul with him. The Second Brother, wanting to resurrect souls to ambush the remaining Five, did not count for his lost love, the one that chose someone else to be bonded with, and left him heartbroken, he took two with them. The Third Brother, the most cunning wanted to attack the enemy without them knowing. It was now The Peverell against the Three Dark Mages. Ignotus knew that he would most likely die, he had but sacrificed everything, his whole being was not able to live, for there was not purpose. That day in the 13th century, Ignotus sacrificed himself to Death, hoping that he would be able to defeat the remaining Three. How he was able to communicate with a god? How he was able to sacrifice himself, we may never know. With the sacrifice, the three mages were consumed and destroyed with the magical backlash, destroyed the regime of The Seven Dark Mages.
No one truly knows the ritual, or the call to the gods that Ignotus did, for he just took a deep breath and prayed that his love would be safe, that his family would be safe. Fate did not take into account what The Peverell was willing to sacrifice, but in the end, the war ended and the magical world could bring itself back together.
This is the true story of The Three Peverells.

On July 31st 1980, after three of the longest hours in the lives of James Fleamont Potter and Lily Potter née Evans, two baby boys were born, twins. These two boys, though not identical, they shared the prominent traits from both parents. Alexander James Potter, the eldest and the future Heir to House Potter, had his father's attractiveness and dark brown eyes however his facial structure was similar to his mother with his cheek bones and a prominent jaw. Henry Charlus Potter, the younger and the second son born to Lord and Lady Potter, was almost entirely his mother's son with his well-defined chin and sparkling emerald eyes. Both children grew up as any normal magical child would, crying, crying, and even more crying. The magical cores of both brothers was strong and still growing however the two brothers would not be able to control their magical cores until their early maturity later on in life to be able to use a wand.
The prophecy that was told to Professor Dumbledore and overhead by Death Eater and Potions Master Snape was in play and it would be any day that the four Potters could be discovered. The Fidelius Charm is a very ingenious charm for the secret keeper must knowingly and willingly tell the secret in order for the secret to be ousted. If the secret keeper was being tortured or cursed while they told the location, the secret would remain safe. If they were being assaulted throughout legilimency, the legilimencer would not be able to find the secret. It is nearly impossible for one to oust the secret, and that was the incredibility of the Fidelius Charm.
Albus Dumbledore, though wanting to end the war and truly fight for the 'light', has always had great ambitions and he will easily sacrifice a few innocents for the 'Greater Good'. Albus Dumbledore, is truly not what everyone thinks. He is not a happy, old man that only is a mere Headmaster. He is possibly, politically and magically at least, the most powerful person in the entire magical world. So when Albus Dumbledore could end the war, he would do whatever he could, even if he was to sacrifice his own brother. Using subtle compulsion charms and alchemical liquids that would made one more loyal to another, Albus Dumbledore managed to have Peter Pettigrew become the secret keeper to the Potters and have the prophecy pertaining the 'equal to the Dark Lord' be leaked and out in the open. Albus Dumbledore is powerful, Albus Dumbledore is dangerous, but most of all, Albus Dumbledore is the king on the chess board of life.
Thus when during an Order of the Phoenix meeting, Lord and Lady Potter going very still and their eyes betraying their freight, Albus Dumbledore knew he was successful in his endeavor. Upon reaching at the destroyed home to the two brothers, they discovered Voldemort's cloak and wand on the floor and the crying of two children. Upon reaching upstairs and in the nursery, they found Alexander Potter, the elder of the two brothers with a lightning bolt scar on his forehead with heavy bleeding. Upon searching for Alexander's brother, they found Henry trapped under a plank of wood looking deathly pale. Albus Dumbledore, discreetly scanning and looking for any signs of Voldemort, found remnants of a magical shield, a very powerful magic shield, and evidence of the killing curse being performed. Scanning with more advanced spells, Albus Dumbledore discovered Alexander Potter's magical core and his strength very high however that was the opposite of Henry Potter. The younger brother's magical core was very nearly destroyed and his strength was very low, almost at the point of no return.
Now, Albus Dumbledore knew he could take advantage of this situation, while he knew that James Potter trusted him explicitly, and Lily Potter trusting him but with a little wariness they would still do whatever he wished if he were to word it correctly.
After two hours of gruesome arguing, anger, sorrow, and then finally acceptance, Henry Charlus Potter was declared a squib and taken to a muggle orphanage along with a note with his first and last initial as well as his birth date. Dumbledore, for protection, erased the memory of them having two kids from their minds though it did take some compulsion charms on Lily Potter in order for her to agree. Alexander James Potter, The Heir, was declared The-Boy-Who-Lived, and the war with Voldemort had finally ended.
