Rayflo is the only one of the pair of them who knows that it's okay.
That's why he chuckles when he feels the first pressure of his vassal's – his Chris, his Cherry, no matter what name he claimed for himself later – fangs on his skin, sometimes moans when he feels the rich, tantalizing wash of pleasure that comes from a true vampiric feeding, one that isn't just rushed and half-assed because Chris cares, as little as he sometimes likes to admit it. They can make their bites feel good, and it always feels good to have Chris' breath against his skin, the heady rush of release that comes with every long suck and every sharp bite.
He keeps his peace, though, as Chris' hands roam over his skin, the feeling of those gloves – rough but only enough to be a decadent counterpoint to the softness of his lips, the way they linger after the fangs pull away for long enough for him to feed – the hot breath, the brush of the white dress shirt or the fabric of his jacket, as though taking off even one little scrap of clothing would change something forever…Chris wants to believe in a new Master, for all that Rayflo knows that there will always be a place for him in the blonde's heart. It shows in the little things. The way Chris always comes back. They way Chris touches him when he's not expecting it. The way Chris still looks at him sometimes with those eyes that, so long ago, made him choose to offer a helping hand to a little lost boy.
Sometimes, Rayflo wakes up alone. Chris always comes back, though, sits on the side of the bed for a while before really leaving. They tease, sometimes. Other times they're quiet. But through it all, Rayflo tries to tell him, in subtle, quiet ways, that it's okay. That it's natural. That this is just the way things are.
And sometimes, Chris looks at him with those eyes and they don't have regret in them, and they don't have some kind of odd emotion that Rayflo has only ever been able to call a 'fear of God' in them either. Because as little as Chris wants to admit it, it is okay. They have each other. And while it might not be perfect, eternity sounds just fine when he thinks about it like that.
