Lol. I'm not really sure what this is. Just a silly little thing I wrote in all of 5 minutes.
It was Jeff Baker who suggested it, actually.
"Why not?" The blonde shrugged. "It's a huge hit right now, and I think it'd be fun to switch it up a bit. We don't usually do this kind of music, so it'll be a challenge."
"True. Plus, I bet the ladies would love it." Wes added, nudging David, who laughed in agreement.
And before long, Blaine found himself singing the lead vocals for Teenage Dream.
It's not like he had anything against Katy Perry. In fact, "Thinking of You" was one of his guilty pleasures. But he had just never really connected with this song. He wasn't sure why, but it just wasn't one of those tunes that he found himself singing along to.
Maybe it had to do with the fact that he always liked to relate to the song he was listening to, even to just one line. But as he listened to this particular song, all he could think about was his failed relationship with Tom Callahan, and how much it didn't work, not at all.
But Blaine was never one to turn down a solo, and he figured he could throw himself into it and come up with a pleasing rendition, even if it wasn't his favorite song in their set list.
Never had he anticipated the spy. The boy obviously did not belong there, but for some reason, Blaine couldn't find himself getting angry with him. His blue eyes looked just a little too inviting, and his hand felt just a little too warm and soft in his own, and his smile looked just a little too genuine and adorable.
As Blaine began to sing, and his eyes locked with those shining blue ones, he realized something.
Teenage Dream was his new favorite song of all time.
Like I said, idk. Dumb. Reviews are love!
