Reaper's Gaze
Look the Reaper in the eye
Don't be afraid to die
I'm old in body
But young in soul
Seen to much and been to bold
Hell is my vacation spot
And Death will take me someplace hot.
Done to much to be forgiven,
Made a mark not oft forgot.
Been too long and much too ready
Let me leave and be at peace
Got no regrets, save just one,
Let me finish all I've done
Job not completed is just no fun,
So let me bear my burden.
I've just one more I must protect,
Just one more to risk my neck.
A stranger, not mine not me,
But my responsibility.
Life aint worth living when you've come this far
When mind is tired and soul is marred.
I've done good and I've done bad
And I can face my judgment.
Eye to soul and I can see
Coldness, but it's awful free.
I've looked the Reaper in the eye.
I am NOT afraid to die.
