AN: I was bored and even though I really should be working on the Ghost Program, I can't right now so I wrote this.

Losing a Friend

A girl, no older than 13, stood by a recently dug grave. Her hair was wrapped in a black cloth and she was dressed in blues and purples, accept for the single orange and black flower pinned to her shirt.

The flower had been worn by many people that day and though the boy in the grave had been unknown to many, the whole world felt the loss of his presence. Those who knew him personally felt it more.

The grave was marked by a stone. It was a simple stone, and now , as the girl called Wadi admired it, she marveled at how well it fit the dead boy who went by the name of Zak Saturday. Zak had been loyal and smart, prideful and impish, clever and sometimes not so clever.

The boy had been thought of as evil by many, but Wadi and others whose lives had been touched by Zak's short presence on Earth, knew better. They knew that Zak was a source of good and he cared for others so much that his final act had been a sacrifice of his own life to save them.

Wadi still remembered the moment she realized Zak was dead. His mother had placed his head on her lap and his peaceful face looked like he was asleep. Drew's cries sounded above the silence like a siren.

"Wake up!" she cried, "Wake up, my baby boy, wake up!"

But Zak never woke.

Wadi hadn't cried in years, but she wasn't surprised when the sensation of wetness on her cheeks entered her thoughts. Wadi didn't even lift her hands to wipe away her tears as she read the stone again. Than she turned and walked toward the Saturday's airship.

The Stone Read:

Here Lies Zak Saturday.

The World will soon Forget Him, But we will Always Remember.

A Secret Closely Kept Prevents you From the Truth, but know you Owe Him Your Life.

Zak Saturday Died When He was 13 and He was Loved by many.

Goodbye Zak, and Stay Away From Monday.
