It was a quiet day at Fairy Tail. Team Natsu was sent on a special mission by Master so there were no battles between Natsu and who or whatever usually got in his way. The atmosphere at the guild was quite easy and relaxed.
Mirajane was happily chatting with some customers at the bar and most of the mages were sitting at the tables near the bar, talking and laughing.
There was only one green-haired exception sitting at the other end of the guild staring at his drink. He had a lonely expression on his face and he seemed lost in his thoughts.
Suddenly his train of thought was interrupted by a loud scream coming from the direction of the Request Board. He looked up to see a furious Levy shouting at her teammates. Gajeel stood a bit awkwardly next to the scene but he visibly enjoyed seeing Levy's rage at the same time.
"Yes we ARE a team Jet, of course I haven't forgotten the damn fact that the two of you always cling to me like I'm the last lifejacket on a sinking ship."
If looks could kill, Jet and Droy would already have died multiple times.
"So don't go acting like some 8 years old spoiled brats if someone else asks me to go on a mission and I say yes. Being around you guys 24/7 is really starting to get on my nerves."
Most of the people in the guild were looking at the fight between the members of the Shadow Gear team.
Freed didn't know where Jet got the courage from after being scolded at like that by the small blue-haired mage, and if he had used his brains he wouldn't have told her. But oh, he did tell her.
"It's not that we don't approve of you going on a mission without us. We don't approve of HIM." He said, nodding his head in Gajeel's direction.
Gajeel was about to say something but he was cut off by Levy's furious high-pitched voice.
"YOU JUST SAID WHAT?"
The few people who weren't paying them attention before were now also looking at the screaming girl and very pale-looking Jet.
"Okay, that was the limit! I've had enough of you guys! Go find yourself a new fucking lifejacket. I'm not a member of this team anymore!" She shouted at them before turning to Gajeel. The Iron Dragon Slayer looked at the girl with an amused smirk.
"I just have to pack some stuff before we leave." She told him in a calm manner. "Meet me in front of the girl's dorms in an hour, okay?"
She smiled when he nodded and with one last deadly glare at her former teammates she walked to the exit of the guild. Gajeel went over to the bar and ordered a drink and some Iron pins while Jet and Droy were still frozen to the ground. Jet had a hurt expression on his face and Droy looked like he was going to throw up.
Now the commotion around the former Shadow Gear was over every one resumed their own business. Freed focused his eyes at his drink again. He took a sip and put it down on the table while letting out a deep sigh.
'Those two are really too blind to see that Levy and Gajeel are practically made for each other.' He thought.
His mind wandered off to his previous thoughts and he started to feel sad again. 'I miss you.' He thought. 'A lot...'
If you read this it means you probably read my little story ^.^
And it is actually my first one I'ev ever written, so I'd love some reviews, positive ones and negatives ones are both welcome so I can improve my writing. Oh and if someone could help me out with the formatting here on FanFiction, that would mean a lot to me, because I struggled a long time to get this posted, and it isn't even the way I wanted it to be...
Also I would like to ask you if you maybe want to read more of this (because my beta already asked for a story instead of a one-off). If some people do, I'll do my best and turn it into a story :3.
