Chloe, Ella and Dan had walked into a trap. They had gotten a call about a new body, but nothing about that seemed to be true. Chloe saw no way out for them. They were surrounded by at least ten guys, all with a gun and the men seemed very muscular too. The three of them were sitting on their knees, hands in the air. There was only one thing left Chloe could do. She put her hands together and prayed. And no, she wasn't praying to God. "Lucifer," she thought, "I've done this a lot before and I don't even know if you can hear me, but well, it's worth to try and kind of my only option right now. They're going to kill us. We're surrounded. Please, Lucifer, save us. Save me."

One of the guys started to laugh. "Are you seriously praying?", he said between laughs. Tears rolled down Chloe's cheeks. It would never work, she thought. "Any last words?", another guys asked. Three guns were now aimed straight at their foreheads.

For a moment Chloe hoped she would go to Hell when she died, but only a second later, Hell found her already. In only a minute all the guys were knocked out. And there he was. Looking down at one of the guys he had just knocked out. He was wearing the same suit as when he left and he had shifted into his Devil face.

Chloe gasped and whispered his name, while both Ella and Dan looked with fear at the creature. Chloe got up and ran towards him. She wrapped her arms around him. "You came," she said. "I've missed you too, detective," Lucifer said a bit uneasy. The hug was really awkward at first, but then he wrapped his arms around her as well. Chloe looked into his red eyes. "Sorry about the face, it wasn't like that when I left, but it seems I can't shift back once again," he said with a quiet voice. "It's okay Lucifer, really," she said while cupping his cheeks. She smiled and closed the little distance between them. They kissed and hell, that was quite a kiss. Chloe felt how his stubble suddenly appeared underneath her hands. She broke the kiss and looked him in the eyes. A wide smile around her lips. "These brown eyes look so innocent now," she said with a giggle. He frowned and held his hand before his eyes. He chuckled. "I've shifted." Chloe nodded and kissed his lips once more.

"Anyone care to explain?", Dan barely got out. "You saw that too, right? The red skin and everything?", Ella asked Dan. "Yup, definitely saw that too," Dan answered. "So, we're not crazy?", Ella asked in a whisper. "I think we're not, God, I hope not," Dan answered. "But I doubt Chloe saw the same thing."
