(Samantha pov.)
It's been about ten days since my mom was killed. By the way my name is Samantha. I'm 17 and I'm basically an orphan. My dad died when I was 5 and my mom was killed a couple of days ago. She died at the hands of a other. It was someone whom she once loved. Evan. He was reprogrammed to kill and never have feelings. That day when my mom died was horrible.
(Flashback)
"Sam, you're just being paranoid. No one is following us." Cassie said. We were trekking through the forest looking for human civilization.
"Mom, I know what I heard. It wasn't like-" I started.
"Samantha, forget it. If you heard something last night and it was an Other it would've attacked a long time ago. Now just focus-"
"Mom look out!" I yelled jumping on top of her.
Others. Me and my mom got up and quickly took out our pistols and started running. I heard the Captain call out something to the rest of them. I looked behind me and saw the Captain was an image of a human. My mom turned around and stopped dead in her tracks.
"Evan?" I heard her say. He didn't answer. "Evan it's me Cassie." He walked up to her and cupped her cheek.
"Cassie."
"You remember" My mom said.
Then that's when it happened. He stuck a dagger into her heart. She fell down dead.
"Mom!" I yelled.
Evan then turned toward me. I took my pistol and shot him in the stomach and took off running deeper into the woods.
(End of Flashback)
As I was walking deeper into the woods, I heard someone following me.
