Mitchie loved the rain! Not just loved it she adored!! But not because it's pretty or because it washes everything away but because when it rains people won't see your tears.
Which is exactly why every time it rains she'd be outside jogging while everyone else is trying to hide from it, claiming that she just loves the water or the way the streets look when it rains.
No one ever questioned her love for, because they all thought that she was a strong young woman that never cries and is always smiling and looking for the positive. Maybe that was also part of the reason why she loved the rain so much, because no one will think anything of her little secret.
So it was no surprise that one day Caitlyn decided to go walk with her in the rain claiming that she loves the rain too and wants to go for walk with her best friend in it. But mitchie saw something in her eyes that told her that maybe Caitlyn knows something, but she just ignored that feeling and just smiled at her telling Caitlyn that she was more than more welcome.
Throughout the whole walk they both stayed silent until it was 15 minutes later and Mitchie couldn't take it anymore and just let the tears go down silently. It was not 5 minutes later that mitchie heard a small sob but she was sure that it was not from her, so she looked to her side and there was the source of the sob. Caitlyn was just walking normally, blood shot eyes, and tears dripping down her face.
She felt mitchie staring at her and looked at her "I know about your little secret" was all she said asking her with her eyes how she knew. Cait understood and laughed half heartedly at her.
'' Are you kidding me? You might show people that you're a strong girl that barely cries, and you might be fooling everyone with your little excuse for walking in the rain but you're not fooling me, your best friend, the one that knows you more than yourself , I know that every time you come out in the rain you would be letting go of your little image and acting like yourself for at least a little while"
Mitchie just nodded at that asking again how she figured it out, that she chose the rain not the bathroom or her room or somewhere quiet. And of course Caitlyn understood what she meant.
"I figured it out, because my dear you're not the only onne that does that" mitchie, again, just nodded. But with that nod she didn't just confirming her understanding, but it was a deal sealed that every time it rains if they were together they would go for walk to deal with everything in their lives together.
That 's why after, Mitchie's big fight with Shane, Cait's breakup with Nate, when, Mitchie's dad had a heart attack, Cait's parents' divorce was final, and when Cait's brother got in a car accident with Mitchie's sister they would stay strong for a while and then let go of everything when it rained. 'Cause no one can see your tears in the rain.
Okay, I know it's kinda stupid and not really good but it was my first fanfic EVER and I had no other ideas cause thay were all taken. So please review, I wonna know what you think.
