AN: This is my first real attempt at writing fan fiction, so, please, go easy on me. This is just a short little drabble that I couldn't get out of my head and needed to write down. I hope you enjoy. Takes place at some time after the first kiss.
Emma and Killian sit next to each other on a log near a roaring fire at their base camp in Neverland. They're not saying a thing, just staring straight forward at the blaze in front of them. The thick tension between them is doing enough talking for the both of them anyway.
Not able to stand the silence anymore, Killian gulps, runs his hand along his leg, then gets up and walks away into the forest. Emma notices him leave, gets up, and starts following after him. He picks up his pace as he hears her boots behind him.
Fed up with him running from her, she yells after him "Hook! What is your problem?!"
The pirate quickly turns and, looking at her, says "You! You're my problem! You and…" He pauses, trying to collect his thoughts. "You and your perfection! How you can just sit there and get to me in every way known to man! I can't do this anymore!" He waves his arms up in defeat, turns back around, and keeps walking.
She can't believe what she's just heard. Those beautiful words coming out of his mouth. Declaring how much he loves her, without actually saying the exact words. She quickly grabs his arm, turns him around, and slams her lips into his, kissing him harder than either of them have ever, in their entire lives, kissed anyone. The intensity of the moment could probably shake the forest floor.
They hold on to each other as if their lives depend on it. As if they would cease to breathe if they let go. Their hands grasp on to each other's hair, pulling them in closer. Their lips smash together. The only sound is of them sighing into each other, begging for more. It's messy and glorious as hell at the same time.
The passion, mixed with what Emma's feeling, is too much. She starts sobbing as she keeps pressing her mouth into his. He slows down, trying to sooth her.
Their embrace continues for about another minute, until he softly pushes her away with his one hand.
"Why'd you stop?" Emma asks, surprised their lips aren't together anymore.
Looking into her eyes, while still standing practically on top of her, he asks, "What is this, between us? What do you feel for me Emma? I know what I feel for you and yes, it scares me, and I know it scares you, but it's not going away, no matter how hard I try. So, what do you feel? Please, tell me Swan. I can't nay, won't, kiss you again until I know. It's not fair to either of us."
Emma stays silent for about thirty seconds, until Killian gets tired of the quiet tension and gently, but sternly, says to her "tell me goddammit!'
"As you wish," she responds, before crashing her lips back into his.
They're both crying as they're lips collide. The skies above them open and rain starts pouring down, hitting both them in the face, making them laugh into each other. The rain envelops them, mixing with their tears and the moisture between their lips. It's just them, the rain, and the green of the forest.
They stay there, just tasting each other, until the rain stops.
