Thank you for sending my copy of Hogwarts a History. I don't know where I'd be without it! I'll make this short, as I have Defence Against the Dark Arts next, and De Fury doesn't like students turning up late. School is fine, Hugo is fine, James is fine, Albus is fine, Professor Longbottom is fine, and everybody else is just dandy. Hope that was comprehensive enough for your prying eyes.

Darling, that letter wasn't a letter at all. It didn't even constitute a note. You must tell me more about school life. How are your classes? How are your friends? What's the top gossip at the moment? The first years still being annoying? Has Hugo gotten detention yet?

Dear Mum,
It was a very extensive note that took all of three minutes to scribble. You should feel honoured I wrote that much. My classes are great, except I don't have enough time to take extra curriculars which is very annoying. My friends are fine, Mary actually fell over the other day, and she had to go to the Hospital Wing which was very exciting. No gossip, Mum, and you shouldn't even be ASKING that question. Yes, duh the first years are irritating, and so are the second and third. Hugo has not gotten...oops, I take that back. He's got one tomorrow evening. Now go write a letter to him instead.

Well, if classes are such a bother, I've sent along a little handy tool. I used it when I was at school - when she was a nerd you mean. Hi Rose. It's Dad, just butting in to say please don't use it to creep your friends out, or to go back and punch guys in the face. Ahem. Hermione.
