Mi Morena
Rain pattered on the roof of Kales' house. It's soft whisper woke Kale from his slumber. He went over to the window.
As so the night
Through my window I can see
A beautiful vision
And when the music plays
Your body rises like a bird of grace...
Ashley danced in the backyard, her white dress fluttering despite it being soaked.
Mi Morena
I saw you dancing in the rain
Holy Water
Shining like a simple flame
Come back I know
I watch you dance alone
Mi Morena
You're the light within my soul...
She twirled around and around, flinging her blonde hair and dancing on her bare toes. She looked so beautiful against the dull of the rain.
Dawn my Heart
The way your moving in your dress
With the night and the dark
On wings of silk and lace
you lift upon the notes and slip away...
Kales' heart raced as though he were dancing with her, as he wanted. He looked down at his 'little black box' and sighed. His gaze shifted back to Ashley, who was still dancing, as if to music only she could hear.
Mi Morena
I saw you dancing in the rain
Holy Water
Shining like a simple flame
Come back I know
I watch you dance alone
Mi Morena
You're the light withing my soul...
Kale felt entranced by her simple movements and he slipped into a daze.
Take this cross
of leather and bone
Take this heart
I carved in stone
In your name...
And when the setting sun
Surrenders to the moon
we can meet
I'll wait for you...
Kale raced downstairs and out into the rain. He went as far as his boundary would allow and signaled her. She stopped abruptly as if startled. She came over to him.
Mi Morena
I saw you dancing in the rain
Holy Water
Shining like a simple flame
Come back I know
I watch you dance alone
Mi Morena
You're the light withing my soul...
"Dance with me." Kale demanded. She looked at him questioningly. "Please?" He asked gently, his eyes soft and pleading.
Mi Morena
Hold you hands out to the night
We were lovers
And the tears run from your eyes
Sweet flower of love
For you it is in the stars
Because I adore you
Your my Mi Morena
She smiled at him. He gazed at her for a moment and smiled back. He wrapped his arms around her. And she no longer danced alone.
