A/N: Hello! I'm extremely pleased so many people have favorited all my little X-Men: First Class oneshots! Readers dearest, I couldn't do it without your actions of kindness.

Disclaimer: Marvel, Stan Lee, unnamed peeps, blah blah blah.

His Smile

Some people say the eyes are the window to the soul.

And for most of his life, Erik has found such sayings true. Whether or not the evidence followed the intended meaning.

Like Schmitt. Herr Doktor, the man behind Erik's nightmares. When Erik, as a child, looked into those eyes, he saw cold hatred and lonesome nothingness. They matched Schmitt's persona with deadly accuracy.

Though not intentionally, Erik always supposed that was what said most about a person.

Until he met Charles.

Charles dove into his life, in the nick of time, quite literally.

Charles always did have stunning eyes, but Erik didn't see anything in them. Instead, Erik found Charles's smiles to say something.

His smiles where quick and sly. They were intelligent an flirtatious. Polite and gentlemanly, God forbid Charles be rude, but they certainly didn't lack in charm. Charles could find a smile for most any situation. Erik always liked to think Charles had a smile just for him.

Some people say the eyes are the window to the soul.

And ever since Charles Xavier fell into his life, Erik no longer counts himself as one of them.

A/N: There, not very long, but I put up another oneshot. Happy? Do you know how lucky you readers are? I think I've more X-Men fics than any other fandom.
