I do not own Naruto or the lyrics to "Ordinary day"

Singing

Ordinary Day

She walked down the sun soaked street. Her feet followed her soul as she stepped through the old gate that was half falling apart and cracking. It guarded a huge garden of cherry blossoms and sweet spring air. She sat in the long green grass. Closing her eyes, she started to sing to her self.

Just a day,

Just an, ordinary day.

Just trying to get by.

Just a boy,

Just an, ordinary boy.

But he was looking to the sky.

And as he asked if I would come along

I started to realize

That everyday you find

Just what he's looking for.

Like a shooting star he shines

He said take my hand

Live while you can

Don't you see your dreams lie right in the palm of your hand?

She sighed and fell back into the lush grass bed…

Sitting in the cool grass her eyes followed the wind that swept over the green ocean. Halfway across the horizon a figure came into view.

A boy.

"Just an ordinary boy," she thought.

The sun's rays reached down and warmed her. "It's too bright," she mumbled. She closed her eyes and put her hand up to block the light but her hand hit something that stopped it in mid air. Startled, she opened her eyes to see the boy holding her hand in his.

But he was looking to the sky.

"What are you doing?" she asked in a daze. She couldn't quite make out who it was.

He looked down and smiled.

"Do you want to come with me?"

He was leaned over looking at her questioningly but the sun was still too bright and she couldn't see. But for some reason she wasn't scared. His voice was laced with dreams and ambitions to be carried off in the sky. He held her hand tighter.

"Come on."

He lifted her to her feet and before she knew it they were flying across the fields. They stopped in the middle of the field and he took both of her hands and faced her. She took a good look at his face. Beautiful jet black eyes reflected green. He bent over and picked up a fallen cherry blossom and held it out to her.

"Your dreams lie right in the palm of your hand."

The cherry blossom split into little pieces and took flight surrounding them. They danced on the tip of the soft breeze singing with a beautiful and passionate glow.

She held out her hands laughing trying to focus on all of them at the same time. The little glowing petals finally met and floated down into her waiting palm…

She woke up with a stir and looked up into the twilight sky.

"Sakura, Sakura."

She stood up hearing her mother calling her.

"Was this a dream," she thought to herself.

Sakura ran towards the gate. She looked back at the garden and saw glowing cherry blossom trees.

"Beautiful…"

Feeling something in her hand she opens it to see a single cherry blossom starring back at her.

"The cherry blossom. That means…"

Looking back up to see the lights again she was met by a soft pair of lips on her own. Her eyes widened as the figure backed into the still glowing garden. He glowed with the light showering him.

"Hold your dreams in the palm of your hand and they will never leave," with that the boy turned and left. The glowing stopped.

Just the end of an Ordinary Day.

Yay I finished my first one shot! I'm soooooooo happy. If your wondering the boy was Sasuke and this story took place a couple of days before team 7 was formed. The song it 'Ordinary Day' by Vanessa Carlton and it's only the first verse and chorus of the song.

Thank you for reading and remember to review thanks!
