Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "Thomas and the Special Letter" from Season 4. Enjoy and comment.
One evening, Thomas was bringing his last train to the junction, when Percy pulled in.
"Are you on your way to Knapford?" asked Percy.
"Yes I am, why?" replied Thomas.
"Something big is going to happen!"
Toby looked up at the sky.
"Where?"
"Not up there, down here!" laughed Thomas.
"How can something be up when it's down?"
Thomas was too excited to explain what was happening at Knapford.
Just then, Mavis, BoCo, Bill, Ben, Oliver, Douglas and Donald paraded past the three friends.
"Good evening you three!" whistled Donald. "Don't we look lovely!"
"Very lovely indeed!" admired Toby.
"Sir Topham Hatt wants us to gather at the station!"
"What is this all about?" asked Thomas.
"Sir Topham Hatt is going to make a major announcement." replied his driver.
The three engines then set off towards Knapford Station.
Sir Topham Hatt was just about to speak when Thomas, Percy and Toby arrived.
"SILENCE!" boomed Sir Topham Hatt. "I have with me a letter from a five-year old girl."
The letter read.
Dear Thomas and Friends
May I please met you? My friends say that they would like to met you too. You can come over for tea, but Mommy says that there's no railway tracks to my house. Can you come to the station instead?
Thank you very much.
"It seems that there are many boys and girls that would like to met you. Therefore, we are going to the big city, far away!"
The engines tooted their whistles and sounded their horns.
"Hooray, hooray, hooray!" they cheered.
"SILENCE!" boomed Sir Topham Hatt again. "I shall ask other engines to help, Please show them around."
As Annie and Clarabel were going to the big city, Thomas and Oliver practiced with other coaches.
Thomas was excited than ever, but he was too excited for his own good.
And then, he made a big mistake.
He went through some buffers, fell down the hill, and crashed into a brick wall!
Nobody was hurt, but Thomas's front was badly bent.
Thomas's driver telephoned Sir Topham Hatt.
"I'll send the workmen, but if they can't fix Thomas, we'll have to go without him!"
Poor Thomas was very upset.
At eight o'clock the next morning, the other engines were waiting at the junction.
Toby and Percy were each on a flatbed, and Duck had pulled them into place.
Gordon, James and Henry were leading the parade of engines.
They were whistling impatiently.
Sir Topham Hatt looked at his watch.
"I'll wait one more minute for Thomas, and then we'll have to go!"
Thomas arrived, just in time.
"Thank goodness you didn't leave without me!" panted Thomas.
"I hope we aren't late, I hope we aren't late!" said Annie and Clarabel.
The conductor blew his whistle and waved his green flag.
Everyone clapped and cheered as the engines set off towards the big city.
Later in the big city, the engines were in special sheds.
Everyone was excited to meet them.
"I'm glad the little girl wrote to us." said Percy. "Isn't it wonderful being here!"
"It is." replied Thomas.
