Disclaimer: I do not own Les Miserables, it belongs to the amazing author Victor Hugo. I just own this story, although I wish I did own Les Miserables.

Dear Monsieur Marius,

How are you? Doing well? I hope your happy... with your Cosette. You know, I still don't understand why you like that thing so much. But, as long as your happy, I'll be happy for you. (Forgive me, if my spelling is awful.) You think she's pretty, don't you? She wasn't always like that. She was once a dirty ugly thing, kinda what I am now. But I must laugh, I am more than ugly now that I'm dead. But you did give me somethin' that makes me feel beautiful. A kiss... it wasn't on the lips, but it was a kiss all the same. I wonder how'd you feel when you got this letter. Surprised? Hurt? Angry? Well not like it matters. You can't do anythin' to me since I'm dead and you'll never receive this letter. Too bad... I would like to receive a letter from you. In your fancy writin'. Like the ones you sent to Cosette. You don't know how much I long for you, Monsieur Marius. Perhaps we shall meet again in death? Only the next time we meet, perhaps we will both be better people. Do you think it's possible? For me, to become a better person? Or is it too late... like it was when I first met you? I always knew you were out of my reach. I always knew it was useless for a street rat like me to chase after you. But, for some reason, you reached out to me. You never loved me. You just thought of me as a friend. But that meant all the world to me. You gave me a hope and yet you crushed my hopes at the same time. I guess I never was meant to have happiness after all I've done. But that hope you gave me... its still there, even though its in pieces.

Signed, Eponine Thenardier

Author's Note: A bit short I admit, but as of now it is a one-shot. ^^" I'm thinking of turning it into a ficlet if I get a good response from you guys out there. If I end up doing it, the next chapter will be Courfeyrac sending a letter to Mylene. If you guys have any other people you'd like to see write a letter feel free to let me know in a review or pm.
