134. Emerald Eternity.

To Submerge.

She loved the sea. The smell of the salt constantly lingering in the air was pleasing and, in a way, soothing. The millions of gallons of water stretching, reaching for the gentle purples and violent pinks blending on the horizon amazed her. It all calmed her like nothing else could, yet it was all so overwhelming at the same moment.

The beauty could be broken down -the number of sand grains resting peacefully at the bottom, the amount of salt trapped in one overly bright vial, the measurements and differences between the tides that gravity pulled- but she liked to forget that for a single moment and just enjoy the view. She enjoyed it for what it was down at the barest, a powerful show of force in the face of the world.

She occupied her sanctuary, a cliff jutting sharply from the ocean below. Green orbs crinkled, staring down the length of the towering rock. The air whipped salt in her face, flushing ruddy skin in a captivating way and roseate hair whirled in latticework patterns.

Laughter floated from her mouth, a soft melody lost forever to the airstream. The stone littered ground crunched, a foot placed upon it. She was drawing closer to the edge. The waves crashed brutally against the stone warrior standing tall in the water. She hesitated, but with certainty stepped forward again.

Once she lingered on the brink of the steepness, she stopped. One step, and she would be soaring through thin, unyielding emptiness. One step and she would be part of that vast expanse laid out before her eyes. It sounded to her, calling her longingly. Was it fine to leave all she had behind and live as one with her precious support?

Her eyes became hazy and dull, a hint of doubt tinted her expression. A frown, slashed like a great swipe of dark ink, marred her face.

Yes.

She proceeded with no other reluctance. A move and she was falling. She broke at the bottom, an intense movement riding with her.

As she sunk, no resistance among her person, an unbidden smile stretched her capped lips. She noticed, faintly, how it seemed just like the inside of an emerald. The lights cast on the surface looked alluring, flickering and swaying back and forth with the water. Bubbles trailed upwards in an arch. She watched in a lethargic sort of way.

A gasp escaped her, lungs loathing the burning of the need for air. She sluggishly moved her hand to clutch her throat, a pale unearthly blue in color, flicking back and forth with the movement of light... The heat in her chest increased and she pulled in a mouthful of bitter flavor, trying to breathe and being declined. She knew it was a vain attempt, so she closed her
eyes, blocking out the surrounding bloom of color and darkness. She drowsed peacefully, unmindful of the passing of her essence.

How was it? Ah, if you have a live journal, you should friend me and tell me that you're on FanFiction as well. Then we can chat, if you'd like. Or you can go make a Live Journal and we can talk. I'm kinda obsessed with it right now... But, if you really want to, I do respond quickly. I have it open almost constantly. ...Yes, I have no life.

Remember; username: ivy_tsuta Just like my FanFiction. :)
