By Chance
I do not own the Hunger Games

He knows for a fact that she's still out there.
She's just waiting for him to rescue her.
He knows for a fact that he's not imagining things.
She's there, she's just playing hide-n-go seek.
He knows that she's not dead.
She cries the rain from above.
"General Hawthorne?"
"Yes?"
"May I ask why you're talking to the window?"
"What do you mean? She's standing right here in front of me."
"Have you taken your medication this evening, General?"
"No, why?"
The doctors say that he's sick in the head, mental, delusional, crazy. The other patients say that they're lucky that they aren't him. The outside world say that he has more than enough already, so why is he in a mental hospital?
Mental hospitals are for the berserk. Though, that's the thing, he isn't berserk. No, he isn't odd either. Nor is he insane.
Or mad.
Or demented.
Or deranged.
Or psychotic.
Does that mean he's crazy for loving the girl he couldn't save?
When people ask, they question:
Does she have dark hair?
Does she have gray eyes?
Does she have that special place in your heart?
Is she famous?
Is she a rebel?
Is she the Girl on Fire?
All he had to do was respond with this:
The softest, honey colored hair you'll ever feel; not dark.
The bluest orbs you'll ever see; not gray.
The most special place you could imagine; not insignificant.
Yes, she is; the most famous girl you'll ever meet.
Yes, she is; the most rebellious girl you'll ever meet.
No, she isn't; she's much greater if you really meet her.
They keep telling him that she doesn't exist.
They keep telling him that it is just his imagination.
They keep telling him that he should forget about her.
But he can't.
Saying that she doesn't exist is like taking away air.
Saying that it is just his imagination is like killing poor children.
Saying that he should forget about her is like saying that he should kill himself.
He's too guilty to let her escape.
Then, that day came. His day. His final judgment is coming soon for all he knows. He knows that the only way that he could find her is if he travels beyond the stars in the sky. Though, those stars are too high. Way too high.
So after that, went into his closet and fishes out a box. The box has all of his answers; every answer. So then, he opens up the box with a shaky hand and reaches inside of it. His palm is reeking with perspiration and soon enough, the hand finds it. He's one step closer to seeing her again.
Next, he stares into the night sky and sighs. It is placed at his heart and with one finger, it emits the sound of a—
BANG!
Gale Hawthorne is then lying on the blood-stained ground with a smile plastered upon his face as he looks for the girl named Madge Undersee.
"By chance, you and I will meet again."
This was just something I put together really quickly. It's a bit…all over the place and messy, then again, I don't have the best organization skills. Wait, would you even call this a drabble? I don't know; maybe you should decide.
In my opinion, the "questions" about comparing Madge to Katniss doesn't really flow like I want it to. It seems a bit confusing, but if you really think about it, Madge was the famous one. She made Katniss famous by giving her the pin. I mean, with her purchasing berries from poachers already means she's rebellious. Do you get where I'm going here? Ah…well…I need to learn to explain things more clearly.
