Christmas at the lab was quite a large affair. There was a medium sized tree in the corner, decorated by Harry, Nikki and Leo at some point. Some lights were draped around the window and tinsel hung from the ceiling courtesy of the lab technicians who also worked there.
"Leo I'm going now" Nikki said as she stood in the doorway to his office "I'll see you tomorrow"
Leo looked up from his computer and nodded.
"Be careful it's been snowing and it's icy"
Nikki nodded
"Be careful?" she gasped with a smile on her face "I'm always careful"
Leo chuckled as Nikki leant against the door frame.
"I am" she protested and turned slightly as Harry walked over.
"I'm going" he told Leo who had a sly smile on his face "What?"
Leo said nothing but directed his eye line to above their heads. They looked up simultaneously and spotted what Leo had seen. They both looked back at Leo who was trying to stifle his laughter.
"Was this you?" Nikki asked and pointed to the mistletoe above their heads, he shook his head.
"I take it you two know the tradition" Leo told them pointedly and both blushed slightly and glanced at each other before turning away. Harry then leant down and whispered something into Nikki's ear causing her to gasp and turn to him allowing him to quickly capture her lips and kiss her. He tried to pull away from her, afraid he had overstepped the boundaries, but she grabbed the back of his head and pulled his head down for a more passionate kiss. They pulled apart and turned to Leo.
"Well it's about time" he told them "Quite frankly the tension around here has been unbearable"
He then motioned for them to leave and they left hand in hand leaving a relived Leo behind them.

Aww! I love Christmas! It just has that really special feel about it and it always smells nice...or is that just me?
