I wake up to the sound of my sister screaming. Of course she is, it's the day of the reaping. I hop out of bed and brush the dust off my dads hand me down tuxedo. I go to see my 12 year old sister Emily. As my sister is screaming my name out "Diego, Diego, Diego!" She screams
"Emily, Emily, it's going to be ok," I say as I think to myself it may not be.
"It's a big day today for you and me. Lets go sell one of our pigs to get you a nice treat, but we better be quick we only have half an hour."
As we walk to go sell one of our pigs I think to myself, what if Emily does get picked. How would our family cope. I fear our family will break apart and I know I would have to be the one to keep us together. But I can't think like that. "What would you like kid, kid, kid," the shop owner says.
"Oh sorry, I was just thinking about the reaping this afternoon," I say.
"Don't worry there is a 95% chance that you won't get picked" he replies.
"It's not me that I'm worried about , it's Emily."
"So anyway what were you here for?" He says quietly.
"Ohh right, I'm here to sell a pig" I say.
