The young woman fidgeted, her sneakers making an odd squishing sound as she shifted her weight back and forth from one foot to the other.
"What are you doing?"
Hiei snorted from her window, the girl had been busy packing all day and now all of the sudden she was nervous.
Hiei raised an eyebrow as the girl began chewing absently on her bottom lip, and wringing her hands.
"I'm scared..."
The whisper was barely audible, Hiei simply scoffed at her response turning his head away from her so that he could resume staring out the window.
"What is there to be afraid of?"
His tone was gruff, but the young woman was used to it by now.
"I'm not really good at making friends... especially friends that are girls... and I've never been so far away from my family... It's scary."
Silence reined for a few moments before the fire apparition scowled, "You've been working towards this for three years and now that you finally have the opportunity to go you're afraid?!"
The girl frowned at him, "I still want to go, don't get me wrong... I'm just... uneasy... I won't have a roommate so it will be lonely..."
"Don't be stupid."
The girl blinked, her eyes flying away from her school trunk to the fire demon in the window, "..."
Hiei turned his gaze back to her, a cocky smirk evident on his features, "Did you really think I would allow you to fend for yourself?"
She raised an eyebrow, "You're coming?"
He scowled, "It's not as though you can keep yourself out of trouble."
The tension seemed to leave her body, "This was Kurama's idea wasn't it?"
"Hn."
