Today was April Fools and Kat was still angry with Joel, so while Kat was at the grocery store, Joel decided to make a nice dinner for his angry girlfriend. The kitchen table was nicely decorated with a red velvet tablecloth and a candle that sat perfectly in the center of the table. He also managed to rip a couple of roses off the neighbors rosebush, and sprinkle the petals here and there. Joel really though it looked amazing. But now came the hard part.
The cooking.
In the meantime, Kat was scurrying down the sidewalk to the nearest grocery store. She wasn't planning on buying anything. She was just going to meet up with Sonny and go over the plan with him.
The woman entered the store, and headed over to where Sonny said he would be.
" Hey! " A familiar voice chimed, causing Kat to turn around.
" Hey man! " Kat said, giving her friend a quick hug.
" Okay, so here's the plan, " Sonny said, getting right down to business, " You go home and you spill all the shit on him. You're cheating on him, and you're leaving him…"
Kat bit her lip. It was obviously going to be difficult for her, but she agreed anyways.
" And then you know the rest " Sonny mumbled, bushing his glasses farther up his nose. Kat nodded and smiled.
" I am literally going to shit bricks if her cries… " Sonny laughed, " See ya later Kat "
Back at home, Joel was putting the last touches on his meal. He sighed happily, wiping some sweat off of his forehead. He had just finished making Calamari Olive Salad, and a small chocolate cake for desert. He even bought the most fanciest bottle of wine he could find at the local winery. It didn't take him long since he followed instructions from a cookbook, but he was still kinda surprised that Kat wasn't home by the time he was finished.
Kat sighed nervously, as she walked towards her own home. Sonny said he would be outside waiting for the signal. But Kat really didn't know if she could do this.
She quietly opened the door and looked around. Why did it smell like chocolate?
" Kat? " Joel called out when he heard the front door click. The woman walked right past the decorated kitchen, and leaped up the stairs to her room.
" Kat what are you doing? Where are you go-"
" I'm leaving Joel "
He blinked. " Where to? Don't you want to eat first? I ma- "
" Just bequiet Joel. I'm leaving YOU " Kat hissed, tossing some of he clothes onto the bed.
Joel knew it, yet he was extremely surprised and hurt. He couldn't breath. He just stood motionless in the doorway of her room.
" Heh… Y-You're joking right? " Joel laughed pathetically.
" No Joel. I'm serious. Sonny's outside waiting for me… " Kat mumbled, shoving her clothes into a suitcase. " I'm getting Piaf and leaving…"
Joel could feel his heart exploding in his chest, " Please Kat! We can work this out! "
" No. We can't " Kat said, grabbing her purse, and shoving past Joel. She walked down the stairs and scooped Piaf up off the couch.
" Kat please! " Joel sobbed, as actual tears began to well up in his eyes, " Please don't leave me Kat I need you… " He spluttered. This was frightening to see. Joel didn't cry like a statue like Kat had though he would. He cried like a baby. He was sniffling and gasping like crazy, and the tears just wouldn't stop
" Please… Don't leave m-me Kat… " Joel whispered as she opened the door.
" APRIL FOOLS BITCH! " Sonny screamed, scaring the fuck out of Joel.
" W-Wha? "
" Thats what you get for putting me on blast on the fucking Rolling Stones shit you dick sucker… " Sonny laughed, while Kat let go of Piaf.
" Oh thank fucking god… " Joel whispered, wrapping his arms around his girlfriend, and kissed her head lovingly.
