Jasper got home from work early hoping to surprise his girlfriend and what a surprise he got. When he walked in the house it was really quiet. Too quiet for his little Alice. He pulled off his coat and hung it up. He put his keys in the kitchen and walked up the staires to his and Alice's room. She wasn't anywhere to be seen so he looked in the bathroom that led from their room. He found her. She was sitting on the white plush floor mat. He knew something was wrong he just didnt know what. She never was this quiet. He picked her up and carried her to their bed. He kissed her head and went to pick up her hand to kiss it when he saw it. The line. The little line that was going across her wrist. The same line that she had all over her body from years before. It was somewhat pink so she had to have done it recently. It was probably early this morning after he went to work. He knew she used to cut but he thought she quit after therapy a couple years ago.
"Alice" Jasper said trying to stay calm through this "what's this" pointing to the mark on her creamy white wrist.
"An old scar" she said barely audible to hear. She never looked up. She just kept her head down, starring at her feet.
"It can't be I would have remembered it" he was just trying to get the truth out of his true love.
Alice looked worried, "Well maybe you forgot about it" she said trying to change the topic. Jasper knew what she was trying to do.
"I promise I didn't. I know your body" he said with a small laugh. She knew she was caught. She kept her head down and started to cry. He hated to see her cry. He just wanted to make her feel better. He stroked her short black spikes said sweet nothings in her ear to try and calm her down. He never knew why she cut she would never tell him. She said he wouldn't understand. All he knew was that he had to help her it. He hoped she would never cut herself again. He needed her in his life. She was the best thing that had ever happened to him. But he knew he would always give her the love and support she needed to try and get her through this.
