"Blade," Forge said, after finding the usually-obnixiously-happy-redhead curled up in the kitchen corner, clinging to her knees. "Are you okay?" As she opened her mouth to reply, he said, "don't answer that."

"Forge," Blade said, her lower lip quivering.

"What happened?" Forge dared to ask.

"I lost at cards!" Blade answered.

"Okay-" Forge began trying to think of some way to comfort the queen.

"That's not the worst part," Blade said.

"Then what is?" asked Forge, regretting it immediately.

"I lost to a - a..." Blade took a deep breath. "A toaster!" she blurted out.

Forge stared at her. "A toaster?" he said, biting his lip to resist the urge to ask her why in the world she had decided to play cards with a toaster.

"Everyone was busy and no one wanted to play with me," Blade explained. "And I could've sworn that toaster was looking at me funny."

"Of course it was," said Forge with a smirk.

"Next thing I know," Blade said, a look of true terror on her face. "it beat me at a game of Go Fish."

"Go Fish?" Forge blinked.

"Yeah."

"Blade," Forge said. "have I ever told you before, how much I love you?"

"No," Blade said.

Forge wrapped his arms around the queen. "Well, I do."
