Forget-Me-Not
Naminé just stands like a good little girl when she is not needed for her duties.
She is there with ankles crossed, white dress smoothed straight, blond hair neatly combed and over one shoulder, straight thin collarbones appearing, disappearing when she breathes (though she doesn't really have to) and she stares out at the world with forget-me-not eyes and says please, please promise me that you'll remember me.
And Sora swears he'll remember, and protect her.
And the replica swears he'll remember, and protect her.
And Roxas swears he'll remember, and see her again.

But it's not really the same thing.
She's still being forgotten.
Because Sora sleeps and wakes up and he doesn't know who the girl with forget-me-not eyes is.
The replica dies and disappears into darkness and so he loses everything he knew about the girl with forget-me-not eyes.
Roxas fades away and one day he can't come back out again and so he's just there but not really there.
So he doesn't know who the girl with forget-me-not eyes is, either.

And she doesn't keep promises to the dead, or the good-as-dead, and that's when she really starts to go away.
And before anyone really knows it, the girl with the forget-me-not eyes has forgotten herself.
