Tony picked up his phone. Gibbs stared at him as Tony got paler and paler and then hung up. He walked over and sat down on Tony's desk.

"You okay?" Gibbs asked. Tony shook his head slowly and burst into tears. Gibbs frowned but reached out a hand and gently grabbed Tony's shoulder. "What's wrong?" Gibbs asked. Tony looked at him, tears spilling down his face.

"My grandpa just died," Tony said with a shaking voice. "Ten over eight tonight, he just...passed away. I wasn't there, Gibbs," Tony said and hid his face in his hands. Gibbs kept his hand on Tony's shoulder when they heard the elevator dind and Abby came running out of it and over to Tony. She hugged him closely, and Gibbs became aware of McGee and Ziva calling Jimmy and Ducky before coming over. "I really loved him! He was the best grandpa I could've had..." Tony sobbed into Abby's shoulder.

"It's okay baby," Abby said and rocked him gently from side to side. "He was old, and he really did have a good life," Abby spoke gently.

"I wasn't there Abby," Tony said.

"No no no, you made your peace. Remember what you told me? You were there the last time. You were there and you said your goodbyes. Besides, he had an angel with him," Abby said. Tony nodded.

"Mom was there, I know," Tony said and sniffled as Ducky and Jimmy came over to sit with the rest of them. "He's just...you know he used to make jello? Not that crappy one, but the good one. Traffic lights. Red on top, then yellow, then green. He used to go around and plant stuff in the garden...they alway had the best garden. And the car I drive? It's his. I drive his car and everything," Tony said. Abby continued to hug him.

"It's okay baby, he's better now," Abby said. Tony nodded into her shoulder. "He's in heaven, and he's probably speeding all over the place, picking up hot chicks," Abby continued.

"Arguing with grandma," Tony said. Abby snickered. "Am I stupid for missing him already?"

"No," Gibbs said.

"Thanks," Tony said. He let his mask fall in the protective circle of his friends. He knew. He had just known. He knew his grandpa was gone, but he didn't want him to be. He knew his grandpa was old, but it didn't help. He knew that it would end his grandpa's suffering, but it started his. "Not fair," Tony mumbled.

"It never is," Gibbs said. and held Tony's shoulder just a little bit tighter.

AN: So I guess you all know what happened, right? My grandpa died yesterday. So I'm not going to be able to write for a while. I'm just gonna hang out with my family and mourn him, and try to have a good easter at the same time. I just wanted to let you know, and right now, I gotta go start packing to go home for a while. Love, Winther
