Description: Amy has died, but isn't in heaven like she expected. Her first clear memory is of the moon telling her what she already knew; her name.
With nobody able to see her but her familiar, Amy must find the cryptic meaning behind the moon's gifts and the reason she was chosen.
Prologue: A Conversation
"Moon," said God. "Long time since we've talked, hmmm?"
Quite true, old friend. The three hundred years have flown by.
"I don't suppose you called me just for a friendly chat. Last time we talked, Jackson Overland was reincarnated as a winter sprite."
Yes, this is not just a small conversation. As you know Nathaniel faded fifteen years ago; I need Amy to take his place. She will not be able to enter your kingdom; for that, I am sorry. I did not wish to resort to such measures, but it must be done. Otherwise he will exact his revenge and all my Guardians will disappear forever.
God huffed, partly annoyed and worried. Moon's guardians protected his children. "So he finally gathered enough fear to execute his plan."
I'm afraid so. Amy will be a key factor in the outcome of this war.
"I'll allow it Moon. Promise me that you will take good care of her, her and Jackson. Help them make the right choices. I do not want any more of my children to fade. Let them be believed in."
Of course.
"Thank you Moon. I must return to my kingdom. Goodnight."
Goodnight.
The voice faded away and the light emanating from Moon dimmed slightly. God stepped from his balcony and left swiftly for his bedchambers.
He thought of the small girl, Amy, whom he had watched closely all her life. She had a tremendous amount of creativity and imagination. He understood why Moon decided she would be the one for the job. God wished the child hadn't died young, and especially not the day before her 16th birthday.
He had saved her from death once, at a young age. He was not at liberty to do so again.
Besides, he knew Moon would take care of young Amy. So would Jack Frost.
