"Raven!" yelled Robin, banging on the door of her room, "I need your help!"
"What is it?" asked Raven, opening the door a little bit so her eyes looked out.
Robin was sweating and blushing and as he spoke he wrung his hands together. "I… um… I need a favor."
"What's the favor," asked Raven, opening the door and stepping out into the hallway.
"Um… Starfire asked me on a date and… and…"
"And you have no idea what to do?" Said Raven with a tilt of her head.
Robin nodded feebly.
"Fine," said Raven, taking down her hood, "Lets go to your room."
They walked in silence down the hallway towards Robin's room. "Thanks for doing this," said Robin, opening the door and letting Raven in.
"Don't mention it," she said. "Now," Raven opened his closet and began looking through it. "First we need to get you out of those clothes."
"What's wrong with my clothes?" asked Robin in a hurt voice.
"Nothing other then nobody wants to go on a date with someone who looks like a deranged colorblind bat."
Robin looked rather hurt, but took off the cape and shirt, revealing tanned muscled skin.
"There," said Raven with the traces of a smile. "Now put this on." She passed him a pair of black pants and a white shirt with a black jacket over it.
Robin pulled on the clothes that Raven passed him with a smile. "I really appreciate this," said Robin, buttoning the jacket up.
"Will you stop saying that?!" said Raven, her eyes glowing white.
"Okay," said Robin softly, putting his hand on her arm. "Is there anything wrong?"
"No," she said softly, pulling away, "There's nothing wrong."
Yes there is, she thought.
"Here," said Raven, taking a comb off the shelf, "Let me help you." She began combing his hair, making it stick up at the sides.
"What time is this date?" asked Raven, continuing to comb her friend's hair.
"It's at seven," said Robin, taking a look at the clock on his bedside table, "Crap, it's six thirty now!"
"Calm down," said Raven softly, "Are you a good kisser?"
"Excuse me?" spluttered Robin, turning around to face his hooded friend.
"Starfire has feelings for you. She'll kiss you. I know these things, now, have you ever kissed a girl before?"
"I've… kissed…plenty of girls," said Robin, blushing slightly and turning away from Raven.
"Sure," said Raven looking skeptically at her friend.
"Okay," said Robin, "It was my Aunt, but…"
"Okay," said Raven, "First take her face like this," Raven placed Robin's hand on her face.
"Now look into her eyes for just one moment," Robin looked into the blue eyes of his friend, ignoring the hot flush that was creeping up his face.
"And give her a kiss…like... this." Raven pulled Robin close to her and gave him one long kiss.
"Wow," said Robin, "Um Rave, I need to tell you something. The truth is…"
There was a pounding on the door that caused them both to jump. "Robin," said Starfire's voice, "It is time for the date."
"Coming," said Robin, looking at Raven.
Raven pulled up her hood and turned her back on her friend. "Go. Have fun."
"Thanks Rae," said Robin, opening the door and putting a foot out the door, "For everything."
Raven said nothing, but floated out the doorway and back into her room, ignoring Cyborg's calls.
"Hey Raven! Do you want to play a game of…"
His calls were cut short by Raven shutting the door to her room and sagging against the wall, tears pouring down her face.
He doesn't love you, said a voice in her head, No matter how hard you try that won't change. It was only a dream.
"Get out!" She screamed, tears flying everywhere "Leave me alone!"
The voice in her head silenced, leaving her to cry about the boy that would never love her back.
