A/N: I was looking through the fanfics and thought to myself "people don't really write that many fanfics about Inspector Chelmey." So I decided to right one. I hope you enjoy this one-shot and I apologize for any spelling or grammatical mistakes.

It had been a rough day at Scotland Yard and the only thing Inspector Chelmey wanted to do was go home to his lovely wife and daughter. Whenever he was grumpy or just in a bad mood seeing them always made him feel better.

After he got off the bus he began his relatively short walk home. It was a nice day, there wasn't a single cloud in the sky. It wasn't too hot but it wasn't too cold . Chelmey could see his house coming up on his right, it was a nice house with white siding and there was always some flowers out in the front. Some may think the house is small but Chelmey, Amelie, & his daughter Lucy thought it was just fine.

Chelmey walked up the steps to the door. One it was unlocked he opened the door and was immediately greeted with the scent of cooking food. "Amelie must be cooking." Chelmey thought to himself, closing the door.

"Father!" Chelmey's daughter Lucy said, running over to him, her long brown hair blowing behind her. Once she had gotten over to her father she hugged him.

"Hello Lucy." He greeted with a small smile on his face.

"How was work?"

"It was...okay"

"Hm, well alright, anyways dinner's almost ready" Lucy said walking away to go set the table.

Chelmey walked into the kitchen where her wife was. She was standing in front of the stove, stirring a pot of...water? Amelie noticed her husband's presence and greeted him with a hug, a kiss, & a "how was work?" All Chelmey replied with was a short "alright."

Lucy walked in "eww" she said then started giggling.

Once dinner was on the table they all sat down and started eating.

"Amelie you did a great job on dinner."

"On, I didn't cook, Lucy did."

"Really? Well Lucy you did a great job."

"Thanks dad, oh and by the way I am now the drum major for our marching band." Lucy said excitedly, she had a huge smile on her face, so big that it made the scar on the right side of her face scrunch up slightly.

Seeing his daughter smile made Chelmey happy since she has never really smiled since she was attacked.

After the dishes had been put up and spending time with his family Chelmey had forgot all about what bothered him earlier because, all that mattered to him right now was that his wife and daughter were happy, which, also made him happy.

A/N: I hope you enjoyed me trying to write a story about Inspector Chelmey. For some reason this was a bit difficult for me to write and it didn't come out as I had hoped but, I'm sure someone will enjoy this story. 3 I apologize for any spelling and grammatical mistakes. Reviews and constructive criticism are welcome. I'll see ya'll next weekend with another chapter for A will, Love, and Dark Memories!
