A/N: I blame all The Little Mermaid commercials on TV, watching The Little Mermaid an insane amount of times in the past 2 months (my son loves the movie), playing KH2 over and over... um... I suddenly got the idea... What is Demyx was sent to Atlantica and met Ariel? What would happen... TADA!
Demyx wasn't sure what to expect when he was ordered to check out Atlantica. Xemnas said he had figured out how the magic of the world worked and since Demyx loved the water so much he sent the sitar player to investigate.
It was a shock. At first he couldn't breathe! And he was sinking! The blond tried to kick his feet but found moving to be a bit difficult. Demyx looked down. A tail!
'Oh my god I have a tail!! I'm like a fish!' Demyx squeed with delight. He quickly figured out how to make use of it and also found that breathing was easier, now that he wasn't panicking anymore.
He swam around the water, gleefully until he hit something, er... someone?
"I'm sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going!" Demyx looked at what he hit to make sure he hadn't ran into an inanimate object. Oh! A mermaid! "...miss." He added.
"I'm so sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going either! I'm in such a hurry! I need to get to the palace, I'm going to be late to practice for our musical!"
Demyx's ears perked up, "A musical?"
"Yes my father puts on musicals all the time for everyone in the Kingdom. I was out looking for someone who could play a guitar but I lost track of time! Oh, I haven't introduced myself. I'm Ariel." The redheaded mermaid offered a smile to the other.
Demyx blinked, trying to take in all of what the girl had said, "Uh... Demyx." Then it clicked, "Guitar?"
"Yes, our guitar player got sick suddenly."
"Would a sitar work instead?" The Nobody turned merman asked hopefully.
Ariel thought it over for a moment, "Well I guess we won't know until we ask Sebastian! I'm sure he can rewrite the music to fit if it needs to be."
Demyx grinned, "Then lets go ask!"
The redhead giggled, "Alright let's go." She grabbed Demyx's hand and lead him towards the palace.
He was enjoying this mission so far! Even though he wasn't doing exactly what Xemnas had told him... Though at the moment Demyx didn't care, he would get to play for a crowd of people. For that Organization XIII could wait.
