"Say something."

Her voice drowns in the silent night. White puff of breath comes out from her mouth. Huffing, her steps come to a halt as she waited for him to say something.

He is not moving. Standing with his back facing her, he doesn't turn to her call, her plea. Not even a single sound she can hear but the crisp wind blowing through.

It's a cruel joke, the fate is toying around with her. Feelings are just a plaything. She would be laughing down at herself seeing the situation. He's not saying a thing, yet he stands there as if waiting for her to call him again and again and again and again—

"Please say something."

The cold starts to engulf her. She shudders, her teeth chattering. But she can't leave, even when he's not answering her call. The wind gets stronger, it's hard to keep herself upright. But she can't leave, she's not leaving.

"Len," she sobs, voice cracking. "Please."

He stands still against the wind. Even when she's struggling with her words, it's just as if her voice is a mere meaningless wind passing by.

"Something, anything, just please…"

She breaks down. Not standing against the wind anymore, she cries. She cries as loud as she can while burying her face in her hands. She cries, she wails, but no matter what, her voice can't reach, her voice won't reach.

He's the wind, blowing hard on her. Every breath he lets out reminds her of her regret. Every single of them; things she should have done, things that she should have said, something that should have not happened.

"Tell me everything. Your pain… Share your pain with me, every single of it. I'll heal your wound, I'll fix you up. Just… say something."

And how she wishes for those words to reach the time where he was.

"You should have… said something, Len."

Because maybe you would still be here.

He turns around. With the wind blowing, his bangs are all over the place, covering most of his face. But she can see it, his smile, a smile that doesn't reach his eyes. All she sees is sorrow, sorrow, and sorrow, breaking her heart into shards.

And he disappears.

By then, it's too late.
