Trinity
At first, the world was darkness, with only small pinpricks of silver light to guide the way.
But then those pinpricks disappeared and the two kindred souls were separated into darkness and light.
At first, the separated spirits cried over the loss. Their wails transcended generations.
The darkness was infinite now, streaks of purple twining through the abyss.
The darkness no longer thought of the light as a friend; the light was now an enemy to be defeated and destroyed.
As centuries dragged by, the purple light took shape and formed. Eons of abuse shaped the gentle glow into hard dragons.
The three beasts were as one; the one beast was as three.
A perfect trinity of darkness and depravity.
The spirits roar as centuries of anger and hatred and greed and humanity are piled on their backs.
The spirits weep as love and light and friendship and purety are stripped from their souls.
The spirits burn as the world fades into eternal black.
Chained to incompetent beings, the dragons despair and hate and long to cause total destruction.
Until one comes along who is strong. One who is not weak.
One who offers freedom.
He clashes the spirits against others and they feast on the richness of the other souls they come in contact with.
There is the blue wave, filled with salty bitterness.
There is the green lion, tasting of pride and strength and passion.
There is the brilliant white horse, who tastes of friendship, determination, love.
There is the purple eagle, filled with freedom and order and contradictions.
With each meal, the dragons feel their power pulsing through human veins and they surge forth.
They control the man. Through him they will have power. Through him they will have strength.
Through him they will have freedom.
And destruction.
And death.
And there will be no others.
They will rule supreme and the light will fade and they will finally be released of the ever present, crushing chains.
All will fade to black.
All will fall away.
Until the world is barren.
And then the dragons may rest.
Then they will be free of the pain.
A/N: Hmm...so this is a lot more depressing than I was expecting it to be. This is for Rinny's challenge on the forum Masters of Metal. A bit late but better late than never, right?
Tell me what ya think? Please?
