Under the watchful eye of two girls the cocoon was beginning to crack. Within a tomb, a slumbering Konan began to stir in her cocooned state. The silken threads began to dissolve and tear as she rose from her slumber, her blue hair gently fluttering out as it was freed from web-like restraints. The sound of the thick shell like surface of the cocoon cracked and snapped before breaking as if hatching was occurring. Once free from the embrace of the cocoon Konan's mind was blank from the awakening and will require time to regain her memory. One of the girls took a few steps towards her and looked down upon her and there sat Konan, her glowing amber eyes locked onto her as if piercing his very being. That was when the young girl placed a blanket over Konan and with the help of the other girl, escorted her to a room that would serve as her private space.
Once she was comfortable, Konan closed her eyes. A flood of memories came racing to her all at once. The cause of so much blood shed throughout history and the source of the plague for ninjas. She touched her stomach where once it had been a gaping hole in her body from the man who had tried to kill her.
Konan woke up with a jolt in the stagnant depths of the water. Leaning up, she coughed and spurted water from her throat, gathering herself to get out of the water. She wasn't dead, that itself was a miracle. Dragging herself up out of the water she had some energy to collapse onto the ground before her. Immediately she sensed someone coming near. She was still dragging her body to get away from the water, practically crawling.
That's when she felt the comforting hands of a stranger on her body.
"Miss, are you alright?" His voice was filled with concern. He lifted her up, throwing her a little onto his back.
"You're going to be okay..."
What he didn't see was Konan's glowing amber eyes or her fangs. She tightened her arms around his neck and sunk her elongated fangs into the tender flesh of his neck. His eyes widened and he scrambled to get her off of him, but she was too strong. She kept sucking at his neck, taking as much as she needed in order to get her strength back up. He cried out. Soon his cries were becoming faint, his muscles weak and his legs collapsed underneath him. Konan continued to drain him dry. Once she was done she kept on walking towards an unknown destination. She needed somewhere to recooperate. She'd been at her weakest when she fought with Madara and the fact that she was alive was a miracle in itself.
She vanished in a blink of an eye into the sanctuary of her home. When she got there, not one, but two people greeted her.
Her twin daughters.
The first thing she did was gather the young girls into her embrace, stroking their heads and whispering sweet promises to their ears. Her biggest fear was that Madara could have gotten his hands on them. Fortunately for the girls, they were really adept at hiding themselves from enemies.
