"Mr Bennet, I'm sure you saw my proposal, and I am sure that you would be happy, but may I ask for Miss Elizabeth's hand in marriage." Mr Darcy asked tentatively.
"Mr Darcy, I would not let my Lizzie marry anyone else, now that I know the feeling is mutual" Mr Bennet smiled.
"Thank you, sir" Mr Darcy said as he left the room. Outside, he found Elizabeth pacing nervously, obviously fearing her father would object. She looked at him, he smiled and nodded. He put his arms around her and pulled her close.
"My love, we will be together until the end of our days."
"We shall never be apart" Lizzie whispered. They walked through the gardens of Longbourn, finding Jane with Charles Bingley.
"Jane, Mr Darcy and I are to be married!" Lizzie shouted as she ran towards her sister and embraced her.
"Lizzie, Mr Bingley and I are to be married!"
"Darcy" Charles Bingley said. "we are to be brothers"
"Charles, that is most fortunate. Darcy said as Kitty came towards them
"Lizzie, Jane, Mr Darcy, Mr Bingley, Dinner is ready" She said, and she left.
"We musn't keep Mrs Bennet waiting." Darcy said as he held out his arm for Elizabeth. She took it gladly. Darcy took her other hand and kissed it gently. She giggled and whispered
"I love you Mr Darcy" Darcy blushed and whispered
"I love you too, Miss Elizabeth."

Halfway through Dinner, Lydia and George Wickham turned up.
"Mr Darcy, we did not expect to see you here." Lydia said to him.
"Mrs Wickham, this afternoon I have become engaged to your sister, Elizabeth."
"but Lizzie!" Lydia exclaimed. "You hate him!"
"I do not, I love him" Lizzie said, her hand still in the crook of Mr Darcy's elbow.
"and I, you Elizabeth" Mr Darcy whispered so that only Elizabeth could here.
"Please, Mr Darcy. If I am to become your wife, you must get used to calling me Lizzie."
"As you wish, my dear Lizzie." Darcy smiled. He kissed Lizzie's hand.
"I don't need to see this" Mary said as she left the room, obviously disgusted by the display of affection.
"I wonder whether our affection is too much for your dear sister." Lizzie asked. Mr Darcy laughed a little, but replied.
"I wonder, but, I do not care. I love you too much to care." Darcy kissed Lizzie lightly on the lips. Lizzie deepened the kiss. The room cleared, leaving Lizzie and Darcy alone in the drawing room.

He sat down, inviting Lizzie to sit on his knee. She accepted and kissed his cheek.
"When shall we be married?" Lizzie asked.
"Tomorrow, If you like."
"Oh, yes! Let's tell Mama and Papa" Lizzie went to get up, but found that Mr Darcy's arm was around her waist.
"We do not have to move."
"You're right. Mama! Papa!" Lizzie shouted. Mr and Mrs Bennet came through the door and gasped. Lizzie and Darcy were lying on the chaise, kissing passionately. They looked up and apologised.
"Sorry, Mama. Mr Darcy just gave me the most beautiful ring and I couldn't help myself, we wanted to tell you that we are to be married tomorrow."
"Oh, Lizzie!" Mrs Bennet gasped.
"How will I make a dress in that time?"
"Mr Darcy and I have discussed this, I shall wear yours, for sentimental value."
"Very well, we shall leave you two alone" Mr Bennet said as they left the room.
