Mob is a good influence on Reigen,
and who would've thought a reedy, quiet thirteen year old
would be the one to bring out the best in him?
It certainly came as a shock
when the kid stuck around
even though Reigan is a charismatic dumpster fire,
a tragedy of a human being
kept together by
luck,
salty ramen,
his devilish good looks
(Mob politely disagrees,
but Reigen overlooks that flaw in his logic;
after all, teenagers aren't known for objectivity;
Reigen knows he's got a crush on a girl his age
the kid's obvious about it,
even though he doesn't talk quite as much
as Reigen did at his age)
and a barely steady income.
Mob is the best kind of kid:
a true, pure heart
sincerity without effort,
genuine without pretense.
If only more people existed like Mob,
then maybe the world would be a better place
(but Reigen would be out of a job:
9f everyone was like Mob, there wouldn't be people paying him
to exorcise pesky ghosts.)
