"So how are you doing Yoshiya?"
"Fine, though I'd prefer it if you were less formal. After all, this is just some coffee between friends, right?" the ashen haired boy hummed lightly as he sipped his coffee. He carefully observed the man sitting across from him.
The man's name was Honda Kiku and he was definitely more than he appeared to be. He had dark hair and dark eyes and was obviously Japanese by descent. He was sitting very stiffly on the café chair and looked so tense that the ashen haired boy couldn't help but let out a small giggle.
At the noise, Kiku- if it was possible- became even more tense.
How amusing.
"A-ah well Yoshi-"
"Joshua," the boy interjected.
"Joshua," Kiku grounded out. "How is Shibuya?"
The boy known as Joshua smirked. "Shibuya has been doing marvelously. I ran into a few bumps here and there- and Megumi is gone now- but Shibuya is prospering."
Kiku nearly spat out his coffee at the last comment. "K-Kitaniji is gone? But what happened?"
"The game," Joshua said simply and Kiku understood. He had always respected the former Conductor and his endless passion and love for his city.
"He will be sorely missed..." Kiku murmured sadly. "Who is the new Conductor?"
"Unfortunately, none right now. No one is qualified as of yet. On the bright side, that means I'm in direct control. Isn't that wonderful?" Joshua cooed with an amused smirk as the man across from him blanched rapidly.
Kiku glared at Joshua, a rare flash of emotion blazing through his dark eyes. If there was a single person he could not stand, it was this Composer. Joshua was gifted, yes, but he had gained his position through underhanded means- cheating if you will. Giving him control of Shibuya without a Conductor to curb his actions would be a nightmare.
And Kiku could do nothing to stop him.
"I... I hope you find a replacement soon," Kiku said honestly.
Joshua merely hummed again and twirled an ashen lock between his fingers. "I have someone in mind."
Somewhere in Shibuya, a headphone-clad orange-head sneezed.
A/N: Just a little one shot about my favorite game and one of my favorite mangas. I think Japan wouldn't really get along with Josh just because he's Joshua. Too hard to handle for Japan who can barely handle America's personality. Not to mention his little game that almost destroyed Shibuya. xD
About Joshua cheating, I have a little headcanon that he either beat the former Composer with some dirty tricks with Mr. H's help or the old Composer just went crazy and begged Josh to kill him. Something like that because, really, how can a normal human beat a Composer? :P
