"Stay out of my face!"
The doors of the elevator opened at the ER in perfect time for Elizabeth to catch Robert yelling in the face of an r2. He'd been pushing him, testing the limits of his tragic, one armed boss that he'd heard many a rumour about.
Every med student in the city, every resident, every budding surgeon had heard the story of Robert Romano; brilliant surgeon, asshole of a personality, struck down on the roof of his own hospital. He'd been feared, admired even, now he was a joke.
He stood in the middle of the ER, shaking with rage as this resident mocked him in front of everyone. The nurses sniggered, the doctors taken aback by the outburst, only Elizabeth's heart broke as Robert cracked in front of her; he'd never seemed more vulnerable.
