He twirls on the spot, his screen grey with static. Cold. Calculating. Ruthless. With a flick of his wrist, he rips the head off of the fear without flinching.
"RGB! STOP!" Hero yells desperately.
He turns around. Hero lies on the ground, whimpering in fear. He doesn't respond. Hero looks at his blank face.
"It's not… It's not you."
RGB glares at Hero. He raises his cane, with the head of the fear still attached, and brings it down with one swift movement. Hero scrambles out of the way, tears streaming from her eyes. The head hits the hard ground with a sickening crack.
"RGB, it's me! What are you doing?!"
RGB stares at her, uncomprehending. He raises his weapon once more. Hero cowers before him.
"Please… No."
RGB staggers as color returns to him. He holds his head.
"Good God! What in the world happened?" He asks to nobody in particular. He looks down to see Hero crying on the ground in front of him. He looks at the cane in his hand.
"Oh my God. Hero…"
He reaches for her, but she wriggles away from him. She hides behind a tree.
"Please, Hero. I'm sorry. I don't know what happened."
RGB starts towards her, his face painted with sorrow and regret.
"NO! GET AWAY FROM ME!" She yells, backing away further. She looks at RGB.
"You were right." she sobs. "You really are the very worst monster."
She runs into the forest, her sobs echoing through the trees. RGB stands in the middle of the field. He drops to his knees, holding his head in his hands.
"Oh Hero. I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry."
