First of all, perfect text. Times New Roman. Can't get any better than that. Okay, this one-shot is for Sweetsons, who declared the Percabeth Challenge. This is written for Reyna, because she doesn't get enough love. Also, I think an insight to her thoughts of a romance with Percy slipping away.
Reyna POV
The giant warship hovered over Camp Jupiter. Several people were making their way down an enormous ladder, leading from the hull of the monstrosity. There was one person descending, but not on the ladder. Jason was flying down, staying right next to one of the members of their group. Probably a girlfriend. But I had known, deep down, there was no way he would go with me. Percy claims he has a girlfriend, and I know he's telling the truth. I thought back to what Venus had said. "No demigod shall heal your heart."
I was shocked back to reality when the first person landed on Roman ground. She was, based on Percy's description, his girlfriend. Her eyes were grey; stormy and calculating. She had a look of courage, but it seemed forced. She reminded me of myself quite a lot. Then, she saw Percy.
She froze. I turned to Jason, who had landed nearby. "Jason Grace, my former colleague" I addressed him, stressing the word colleague. "I welcome you home. And these, your friends-" I was cut off by the blonde surging forwards towards Percy. She kissed him. They looked so happy, I bet everyone could have died and they wouldn't care.
Percy looked up "Gods, I never thought-" He was broken off by Annabeth grabbing his wrist, and performing a flawless judo flip. The Legion cried out, rushing forwards. "Hold! Stand down!" I shouted, guessing what Percy's girlfriend was going to do. She trapped Percy, and told him harshly "If you ever leave me again, I swear to all the gods-" Percy laughed. "Consider me warned, I missed you, too."
Percy's lucky to have someone like that.
