A/N Every time I get to the mission; 'All That Remains' I want to do this to Quentin. He is one of my most hated bloodmages that I know in Dragon Age 2.
Garrett slaughtered the last of the possessions, now he could focus his power and anger directly on the insane bastard that turned his mother into a sick experiment. Quentin's force field finally dropped, revealing the aged man. "You will suffer for what you have done!" Garrett slit a deep wound up his left arm from his palm, his anger boiled and grew from the evaporating red mists, forming into a cloud of chaotic power and magic that engulfed Quentin. The cloud tore small cuts into Quentin's body, causing more blood to spill. Garrett focused on using Quentin's own blood to fuel the blood storm. Quentin screamed in agonizing pain, alerting Garrett's companions to the scene. Anders, Merrill, and Fenris ran around the corner to find their friend, covered in his own blood, screaming his anger out at Quentin's mangling body. Merrill felt herself start to cry at how enraged her lover was, she had never seen him use his bloodmagic to systematically torture another being before. Anders turned, he had to fight Justice's impulses even more when Garrett used bloodmagic, but this was beyond unholy. Fenris shook his head in disgust and glared at Garrett's back as the last of Quentin's body meshed into a burst of gore that formed and melting over Garrett's heavily wounded arm, healing it so well that not even a scar could be seen where the deep gash had once been. The murderer had been rightfully murdered, Garrett could rest easy knowing his mother's killer was finally dead. "May his soul suffer forever in eternity." He muttered as his mother's delayed corpse died in his arms. He was sorry she had to see what he did, but not sorry about what was done. A small wary hand fell carefully onto his shoulder. He looked up to find the one woman in the world that he could possibly love staring at him in fear and it broke his heart. "Merrill, I'm sorry you had to see that, but he deserved it." Merrill fell to his side and hugged him, venting her sorrow silently as her tears stained Garrett's now blood-reddened robes. He held her tight. It was over, it was finally over, but he had failed his own mother. 'Will I fail Merrill as well?' He shut his eyes and just breathed in her comforting scent. That was a question for another time.
