Does anyone else know that there aren't but, what, TEN Unwind fics? Ugh! I just read the book and I swear- if it were a guy I would MARRY it!

So, yeah, I'm taking a break from my Lord of the Rings and normal fiction/novel stuff to write a fic about Unwind because I love it so much! I'm in the process of one that I may make more than a one-shot but I need a bit of romantic stuff in my categories…. Don't have any yet…. At least I don't think….. Hm….. *runs to check categories*

So, this is going to be weird since Risa broke her spine and stuff and I don't know how one would deal with that…. So yeah…. If the whole 'CONNOR WOULDN'T DO THAT TO RISA! IT'D KILL HER!' comes up, I apologize in advance. I just imagine you'd still be able to hug or drag around a person with a broken spine you know?

-o-

Disclaimer- I don't own Unwind because it belongs to the genius of a writer that is Neal Shusterman!

Enjoy…..

It had been a long day for Connor. A new batch of Unwinds had been flown in earlier in the day and he had spent all of his time after getting them settled in. As he walked to the old Air Force One jet he thought of the girl he would see once inside.

"Connor," She smiled at him, wheelchair bound. He mentally cringed at that- The wheelchair. The girl sitting in it shouldn't have had to be stuck in it. It was her choice, a brave choice made by a brave young woman, he reminded to himself, smiling at her.

"Risa," he walked to her and touched her face softly, careful that it was his arm that he touched her with, and grinned warmly at her.

"Look at what one of the new Unwinds brought" Risa smiled brightly at him, and excitedly wheeled herself over to a dusty old stereo. "It still works too! Look!" She popped in an old Debussy c.d., swaying with the music slightly.

Connor smiled at her ecstasy and felt an idea beginning to form in his head.

He reached down and wrapped his arms around her and picked her up, both hands around her waist, spinning with her.

"Connor, what are you doing?" She breathed, puzzled at this act of romance on his part.

Connor leaned down until he was beside her ear and whispered, "Dancing with you."

Risa lifted her eyes to his meet mismatching brown ones and felt a small smile beginning to form on her lips.

It was him swaying her seeing as how she couldn't do this anymore. She welcomed the feeling of wrongness because it opened a door for her- A door to pleasure despite her injuries. She broke into a full blown grin that mirrored Connor's own face.

"I love you," The two said in unison.

And they meant it with all of their hearts.

Awwww… I love this pairing SO much! I really hoped that you enjoyed this overly sweet fic. And if you don't- Join the club. As much as I love reading about love and such like that, it KILLS me to WRITE it. I'm more of an 'Action with comedy wrapped up in snark and bacon' kind of authoress. So don't kill me because of my fail at romance! (Trust me; I've already got friends who are COACHING me on how to become more romantic in the REAL world so you've got THAT job covered.)
