Jaune, was bored. Really, really, bored. He would continue to lament about his boredom, but that's almost worse than being bored. He stared at the clock face from his bed. It was 5:00 PM. He pulled his phone from his jeans and scrolled for any new messages, then flipped through his schedule.
5:00 Sword Training with Pyrrha
5:30 Spear training with Pyrrha
5:50 Take 10 minute break
6:00 Weapon maintenance with Pyrrha
7:00 Dinner
7:30 Projectile evasion training
8:00 Hand to hand combat training wit-
He shut off his phone. He looked at Pyrrha's immaculate bed, untouched belongings, and sighed. He went back to looking at the clock. It was now 5:02 pm. He sighed again.
His phone rang from his hand at his waist. He picked it up on the first dial. "Hey Pyrrha." "Hi Jaune, I just wanted to check up on you, how are you doing?" "Oh, I'm fine. How's the flight?" "It's good, there was this Grimm earlier, but this ship is surprisingly well armed, and…" "What? What happened?" "Jaune are you okay?" "WHat? Who, me?! Never…" Jaune stuttered as he tried to put on a fake smile "Jaune…" "Alright, alright" he said as he sat up slightly and he lost the fake grin "I'm just a little bored okay?" "I'm sorry Jaune, but I-" "It's not your fault Pyrrha, it's family, I get that, seven sisters, remember?" "I know, but there's still your training, and-" "Pyrrha, I'm fine, I'll keep training, and find something to do, okay?" "Alright…" "Don't worry about me, take your time Pyrrha, Beacon'll still be here when you get back. Well, probably." "Fine, just, be careful, okay? I-um, goodbye." "Bye Pyrrha..."
Jaune slumped back in his bed slightly. Well, he gave his word to Pyrrha that he'd find something to do right? There's this new game on his scroll that he'd been dying to try out, and he couldn't very well do any of the two person training without a partner...Game it is then. But seriously though, he really needed to ask Pyrrha to record their training sessions so he could practice on the go…
Pyrrha sat back in the bullhead's seat as she stared at her scroll. She was certain that Jaune was alright. He had lived alone before her and he might very well live without her afterwards, he didn't need her babysitting him. She'd only saved him from a life-threatening situation once. Okay twice. Depending if one counted her training as multiple saves that number could be significantly higher...She was already searching her contacts for anybody who was left at Beacon before her thought even concluded. Ruby, no, she was on Patch, Weiss, no, she barely tolerated him as is, Blake, where did Blake go? Anyway, not her… Pyrrha slowly scrolled through most of her contacts until she finally got to the one she wanted nearer to the end of the alphabet.
"Hiiii Yang, um, I have a favor to ask…"
A.N. Felt in the mood for some dedicated platonic Dragonslayer/Firewall, but I have little idea where this is going.
