Chapter 1

Past Wounds

I got a copy of a new 'Luigi's Mansion' title from Nintendo to review on my YouTube channel. Though it had a strange title, I didn't think much of it since it was just a sort of tech demo. When I started it up, all was fine, a bit creepy but the 'Nintendo' kind of creepy. The title screen popped up saying 'Luigi's Mansion' with the subtitle 'Past Wounds'.

Getting in the game started a first-person cut scene where Luigi gets out of bed and does his morning routine, brush teeth, eat breakfast, go for a jog with Polter Pup. The cut scene was about a half hour long, and then I could control Luigi. The game was still in first-person, and my first objective was given, 'Check Phone'. I got to the phone and another cut scene played, This better not be a cut scene fest... I said.

There was a text from E Gadd, saying "Luigi, help! The ghosts have gone crazy again!" Then another text from an unknown contact, it said "Come to these coordinates if you want to save this scientist." The cut scene stopped and I got another objective, 'Get Polter-Gust'. It was in the garage along with the car, it was then I found out that this game was free-roam heavy. I could control the car but the car driving felt weird, there was an add-on I got with the game, it's just a piece of plastic that vibrates. And it was always vibrating, violently. I got out of the car after about a minute of driving and went to the front, a cut scene started with Luigi opening the front trunk, only to be pushed down by a ghost, one of those 'Greenies" by the looks of it. And a quick time event began, just pressing ABXY before the ghost killed me.

It took a few tries and a few deaths, but the deaths confused me, the ghost would go inside me and the screen would go black. A few seconds later the screen would fade in revealing both and Luigi hanging, zooming out of a window to a burning building. I saw it so much I could remember the exact room it all happened in. But I beat it by the skin of my thumb (literally) and the ghost did the regular cartoonish scream it does when it's captured. I finally got to the mansion the game wanted me to go to, I heard the scream of E Gadd as I entered the first room. And, grinding? Nintendo what the fuck? What is this? I said in surprise. I decided this game was too dark to upload, so I just made a new account.

Anyway, the greenies I caught escaped my Polter-Gust and flew into a new room, following gamer instincts I ran after it. Only finding a locked door, "I better start looking, oh boy." I was surprised to hear Luigi talk. I guess you're right Luigi, let's go…
