A Bully Gone Soft
Chapter 1: Enter Ashton High
"Kagome!" Mrs. Hogurashi warned her 15-year-old daughter. "You're going to be late for school if you don't get moving!"
"I know! I know!" The still half-asleep girl rushed out the door slamming it behind her.
"That young lady really does need to get a louder alarm clock." Kagome's mom shook her head wearily.
Kagome's raven hair flew behind her as she sped down the street. "Damn! I'm late again!" She scolded herself. "Please let the bus be slow today!"
Fortunately for her, the bus driver was still groggy from a lack of sleep as well, so Kagome got a day of grace. [It means she got lucky so she had one extra day to get back on schedule. Now aren't I generous? Mwehehe]
"Ow! Watch where you're going freak!" Kagome yelled at a silver-haired boy who almost ran over her on his rollerblades.
He just looked back and snorted a rude "Feh. Whatever."
Kagome just glared and got on the bus. "Well I never..."
Inside the bus, Kagome glanced nervously at the new teenagers around her. She and her family had just moved here from Kyoto. Kagome was in grade 9, and she didn't exactly like the idea of moving to a new school right in the middle of the year.
"There's an empty seat here." A girl with waist-length black hair motioned beside her.
"Thanks." Kagome smiled. "I'm new around this neighbourhood. My name's Kagome. I just moved from Kyoto."
"Cool. My name's Sango. What grade you in?"
"Nine. You?"
"Same here! I hope we get the same classes."
"Me too!" Kagome had found a friend already!
Ashton Highschool stood tall and proud in the busy streets of modern Tokyo. Kagome gazed all around her at the bustling hallways, abundance of lockers, students hurrying to get organized, and all that other stuff.
She looked at her assigned locker number. "512. Hmm... who knows where the hell that is. I could be wondering around here forever!" Kagome groaned at that thought. "Let's start here. 329, 330, I guess I should go this way."
Half an hour later Kagome sat in history class. [Boorring!] "In 1891, Dr. Dubois discovered an ancient human scull. It was different than the modern human skull, as it had hardly no chin at all and a narrow..." [Blah, blah, blah]
Sango was sitting right next Kagome and shared her boredom. "She definitely talks way too much!" Sango complained. "I wish she would just get on with it and let us outta here!"
"Yea..." Kagome however had her eyes on something else that moment. Or should I say someone else.
"Kagome?" Sango waved her hand in front of her friend's face. "Earth to Kagome! Are you there?" Sango stopped short when she saw what the other girl was looking at though.
"Don't tell me you're crushing on him?" Sango looked bewildered. "He's not anything what he looks like! Honest!"
"Huh?" Kagome turned her attention back to Sango. "Oh, well I know that much. I was just wondering what made him so mean. It totally ruins his looks."
"You mean you met him before?"
"Not exactly met him .He almost crashed into me this morning when I was getting on the bus. It seems he only cares for himself. So I was just thinking what could've happened to him to make him be like that."
"I see." Sango searched Kagome for any flaw in her explanation that would make it a cover-up. But it appeared completely genuine and truthful.
