The Yearly 365 Challenge

Prompt #51 (Scenario) – Look, I'm sorry I hit you, but it was an honest mistake! It's not my fault you chose to wander around this monster infested dungeon without so much as a torch!

"You didn't have to hit quite so hard." He snarled as he rubbed the top of his head. "Fuck there is going to be a serious bump rising." He glared heatedy into the wide eyed of the man whom had successfully conked him in the head. "What the hell did you use a lead pipe?"

"As you can see the only thing I have in my hand is my torch." Dilton stammed as he looked down on the medal that held the wooden lit torch. He looked back up into the eyes of Reggie. "What happened to your torch?" He backed away as Reggie stepped forward.

Reggie had to stop in his tracks. He had to deal with the massive headache that won't go away. "Fucking hell mate!" He whispered yelled in Dilton's face. "Never knew you had some strength."

Dilton pulled himself up. "We are in a English castle where the only light is wooden torches that are lit by fire. Yeah I think I can find some inner strength to come to my aid." He winced as Reggie sat down on the stone floor. He knelt down. "I'm sorry for hitting you Reggie. If I had known it was you I wouldn't have hit first and asked questions later."

Reggie closed one eye as he gently rubbed his head. "Not your fault Dilton. After all like you said we are in an English castle … in the dungeon neverless … with only fire torches to light our way." He laughed. "I'm glad that you protected yourself." He winced as the pain of his head hit once more.

"Seriously Reggie why are wandering around without a torch? I mean we all know that there are monsters down here. Sides where is …." He thought hard on whom Reggie had been grouped with,

"Veronica, Betty and Kevin turned down a hallway … and I thought that I would pull a prank on them by going through the hallway that was next to theirs …. I thought that it would meet halfway and I would have fun scaring them." Reggie smiled ruefully. "Jokes on me."

"I accidently got sepearted from Moose, Varlie, Archie, Jughead, and Jellybean when I got interested in a nook in the wall." Dilton sighed as he lifted himself so he could take a look at Reggie's head. "At least you aren't bleeding Reggie. But you will be having a giant goose egg." He sighed as he sat back down. "I'm so sorry."

"Don't be Dil. Don't be." Reggie shrugged his shoulders. "Well it's best that we keep moving. It's not wise to remain in one place for to long. We need to find the rest of the gang … then we need to get out of these monster filled dungeons." He carefully stood to his feet; leaning his back against the wall as he felt dizzy.

"One bright thing is … at least the monsters aren't well. If they catch us … they won't kill us." Dilton sighed as he got to his feet. "I have a feeling if we do lose this monster hide and seek game that with you being hurt … they won't take any points away from you."

"There's that." Reggie smiled. "Come on let's figure out a way to help the rest of the gang win this game."
